It kind of reminds me of the thing used on the PS3 that is supposed to connect all the PS3 in the world to create a kind of super computer to help science, can't remember the name though. Very nice idea anyway!
Sorry for not being very active later on, I've been dealing with a sinus infection for about 3 weeks now, it just won't go away. This and work... I fall asleep as soon as I sit for more than 5mns. Actually, I almost felt asleep while I was listening to some of my students making a presentation last time (ok, that was boring, didn't help).
Anyway, I hope you guys are doing great, and it's good to know that our good capt'ain is around

This government shutdown isn't a total shutdown. They still be active enough to take their "fair" share of my paycheck every week!
The whole cloud computing thing is pretty neat how it works. I don't have my pc on long enough to do anything like that. Now me cell phone on the other hand...

Sinus infection, that's the worst! They hurt too .... try this!!
As for distributed computing, I think I've been doing it off and on for a decade, first started out with SETI. The concept has become so much more than that over the years now and provides significant resources for projects able to use the system.

Soonish, that's a good word fer it. I'm getting a tooth yanked tomorrow, so it will be a mostly wasted day, work Friday, then weekend and desk caddies. I'll put on two more coats of finish over the weekend as well so Monday I should be able to start final assembly? That could mean I can ship by the end of the week or the coming weekend at the latest!
Guess I need to start thinking about showing off the new models and trying to drum up some pre-orders. I only had 6 orders this batch and I am making 5 or 6 for the website too. If the Marauder and Destroyer20 passes final test & inspection I suppose they can go on the website for sale. Gonna be a busy couple of weeks, to be sure!

Oh yes, I'm hoping the line-up for next batch will be;
Marauder-HD - 3.7v - 22 mm inset tank mod
Cruiser-HD 3,7v, 6ml bottom feeder, (HD means - heavy duty 8 amp)
Destroyer20 - 22 mm inset VW DNA20
Cutlass20 - 6ml bottom feeder, VW DNA20
And people who want to save some money and don't need 20 watts can take the DNA12 board and order a Cutlass12 or Destroyer12.

Sounds like a good lineup. I am thinking heavily about a new Destroyer 20 just have to decide on the woods.
