Well, I do have the prototype Destroyer20 made from solid curly tiger maple that I never put on the website, I was kinda thinking of keeping it for the RSM museum though but it's the only one available I'm afraid.

A note to all. I am not taking pre-orders at this time. But if you have a thought on a mod you would like to see, mention it here and I will make a note of it and see what I can do.

As I said before, I would like to get back into the artistic creation side of making these and see what new designs/patterns and stuff I can come up with. I will listen to what you have to say, but no, no pre-orders.

Just once, before I end my days of making mods, I would like to make a jewel encrusted mod with gold inlays.

I was thinking of trying to engrave a mod and use gold foil to line the engraving though... I think I could do it, saw a demo of it being done and it doesn't look that hard!

Hmm sounds like this could be a good year for RSM!! I like the idea of the gold engravings and I have to say the paneled mods came out really good looking as well. Will be interesting to see what happens when you have a whole batch to play with

Arrr, it's late, time to hit the pit.

I played with my CAD program today so I can try and make a prototype for a 26650 Destroyer and Cutlass. I'm also going to try to install Micro-USB rechargers too. Mainly because I don't have a charger myself to recharge my own 26650! Hopefully it works out ok, but it's always tricky when I make such large changes to a design. Fortunately having done soooo many models I'm an expert on designing on the fly anymore, yarrr

Working on the Cutlass 26650 design some more today, are y'all sure there is going to be a market for these? They are gonna be a beast!!

5" tall, 2.5" wide, 1.35" thick, and that's just enough to stuff everything inside and give it the same strength as the previous models.

I'm going from a battery with .73" diameter to one thats 1.07". Add the .2" door width and .1" back thickness, and there ya have it.

I should be able to add the usb recharger board with no problem, yay me!

Is there a call for 26650 Destroyers? at 1.35" thick, I could make a tank well thats 1.15" diameter probably....whoa, is there anything that big out there?

I also edited the website and all the desk caddy listings on the website and e-bay, updated my spreadsheet for the new year .. been a busy day.

We can't find any tank bigger than 23 mm on the market right now, correct me if I'm wrong crew. So I would say that would be useless to dig it so wide. 23mm is the way to go...so far. Anyway most mods are 22, RBA makers won't move too far from that I reckon, unless they also produce the mods to suit them (I know a modder is working on a 26650 tube mod, and will also create the atty that goes with it, that dude from the Origen, can't remember his name right now).
Now, there's a market for 26650 mods for sure, some guys will always look for autonomy and will always be ready to compromise on size to get there. 26650, usb charger...what else could you ask for. I would see that as a home or car RSM, maybe not the most appropriate thing to vape on walking in the street or at the restaurant

Yeah, most RBA's are going 22mm. The only reason to go bigger would be some thing like the phiniac glass carto tanks. The colored ones were 25mm or something like that.

Ok, good to know, and the design will allow for future expansion if necessary. I checked the dimensions real hard today and I believe my poor little hobby CNC machine can handle the depth needed for a 26650 ok. That poor little machine has been pushed beyond normal expectations.

It is going to be big mod, but a guy with standard hands will have no problem holding it, it's also going to be kinda heavy. I'm making the dimensions of the battery pocket to fit a flat top 26650, so a button top will be tight but should fit ok.

I am pretty sure I would be in line for a 26650 tank inset mod as well especially if it has the ability to charge built in. I think there are few enough 26650 mods available that I believe if you build them they will sell.

I'm in a strange period when I know I want/need another RSM, but still don't know what. Funny enough, I already know the woods it will be made of, but don't know if that will be a Cutlass/Destroyer/Marauder or even the upcoming 26650. Damn, life's hard! Anyway, time to save money, I have an empty slot in my caddies
