This needs to be bumped

Avast! My last task of the day is complete, the promo video is uploaded and the audio track is pending, but it is still watchable.

Feel free to repost video!!

I think I am about caught up now. Waiting on some parts for repairs, aside from that it's time to think about what I'm gonna do for the next batch, yarrrr... I'm outta here, have a great night and awesome day tomorrow.

Ahhh, so quiet again.

I'm patiently awaiting word that the mods have arrived and perhaps even see some user pics. That would be nice.

Working on desk caddies this weekend of course. I'm hoping I can start cutting up some wood for prototypes and the batch, that should start to be interesting for me especially as I have some new wood to play with.

I've been hesitant about starting a new thread. This one is so dead sometimes that I might find that the few people who stop by on occasion will dwindle down to a couple posts a week and other might not even bother to find the new thread. I have no idea how to liven up the thread anymore, it might not really be possible with RSM being such an old (for the vaping world) product.

Well, have fun out there, stay warm and be safe! arrr

Good morning Crew!
Well, all the threads I follow are quiet from time to time, and when they're not, people mostly talk about things not really related to vaping gear to keep it alive :D

One thing for sure, the RSM community is certainly the best I know, and I'm sure most will follow whatever/wherever you go, new thread or not. The upcoming models, batch will liven it up anyway :)

Good morning,

Yeah, the trippy tip thread has become very quiet as well....

Cappy, you're really the only one now making bottom feeders with DNA. So that's something, yes? There's bogger box mods, but that guy is not fulfilling peoples orders. So, you're the only one, in a sense.

So, you were looking for input. I'm interested in a black walnut mod, but didn't like the rosewood pared with it because of the contrast in the warmth and coolness of color. The rosewood is also beautiful. I like this gold inlay idea and am looking forward to seeing what you do with that! Maybe I would prefer a mod of one type of wood with gold inlays.......

Good morning crew!

My lady woke me at 7am because she heard voices/banging outside. We're getting hammered with snow and I can't find any tracks so I'm assuming it's because she hasn't slept in ~30 hours. I tried to make her feel better by saying it was just ghosts :p

I do believe you're the only DNA 20 bottomfeed maker as damselle said. ECF shut down the bogger box thread recently as well.

I know a bunch of folks in the reo subforum talk about wanting a DNA 20 bottomfeeder, but it would be in bad taste to run in there singing your praises. I try to keep an eye on the "where can I get a..." forum pointing folks here for stands/mods though :D

Edit:
The walnut/rosewood cutlass 20 is heading to Michigan, couldn't resist any longer :D

i first got to hear about Red Sky mods from a Reo user i saw using one at a vapemeet and i daresay a few people that bother to follow my posts are able to come here and see them for themselves.

The only Reos that use a dna20 are ones that talented individuals have made and there will not be a production run of them. I sit fairly happily in a few places, i have 5 Reos and 3 RSMs, my wife has 3 Reos and 2 RSMs.
There is not a better dna20 bottom feeder sold anywhere. Bogger box's problems are unfortunate but predictable. As soon as you ignore your customers it's curtains.

It's also the case that the supplier pays for the forum, so it's hardly appropriate for me to post loads of pics of my silver bullet and tank in here! ;)

Ahoy, happy Sunday!

It's funny about bottom feeding, it never seemed to be main stream, but the majority of people who try it think it is the superior way for all day vaping with the least hassle. I have never, ever, found a tank setup that gave the wet hit I desire without leaking all over the place.

I churned through page after page of the FT site looking for a bottom fed rebuildable and drew a blank. I guess I will have to order some A7's from a US supplier when the time comes, I have not found a better alternative yet.

Time to get back to work, have a great day all. arrr

Cappy, what do you think about using coconut oil on mods? I've been using this to keep the wood from drying. Unfortunately, I used it also on a wooden bowl a patient made for me and the red dye from the African Red Wood ran into the Curly Maple! I was able to wipe it off most of the spots, but it did seep into some of the cracks. Luckily, this has never happened with any of my wood mods.

No idea about the coconut oil Damselle, I must admit total ignorance of using it. There is no stains and such on the mods, so I don't believe it could be harmed if you tried it.

I've mentioned before Waho, that I think that ECF is going to eventually become defunct.

Like any new and wonderful product, people used to have a million questions, where to get them being a main one. Now though, you can use google and find anything you want. Use Youtube to watch demo's of most main products out there and visit Fasttech and buy cheap whatever you want. The need for a discussion oriented forum like ECF is becoming far less useful than it used to be. I'm sorry to see it happen, but not surprised.

Without ECF, and more importantly the word of mouth advertising about RSM stuff that I sometimes get I might not survive if ECF fails.

omg, this forum needs a "Hate" button. Thanks for the pic, makes me remember why I moved to Florida, pity I can't talk me aged mother into leaving northern Minnesota, she has a sister and daughter up there still. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I was trying stuff on the back side of the doors before the outside of the mod to make sure it wasn't going to screw it up. Seems like coconut oil would fine since Howard's is orange oil and bee's wax.

Snowmageddon is just about over up here. This was two hours ago and it's still snowing now!

Ahoy, quiet day on the thread, quiet day in the shop.

I'm gonna take a run up to Tampa tomorrow, the Commodore is in the VA hospital again. She was there last week for a few days but they obviously let her out too soon and she is back with an intestinal blockage again. This chrone's disease she has to deal with sure is a miserable f*ing thing for her to have to deal with. 20 years ago when it was first diagnosed it was a problem only a few times a year, now it's a constant misery, wish I could do more for her....

If we would have know 30 years ago about it, and how hereditary it is, I may have chosen not to have any children. My oldest son Erik had to have a intestinal re-section done a few years ago and has to deal with it the rest of his life. Hopefully they will find better treatments soon? Yo ho for medical advances! My youngest son David is free of the disease so far, awesome.

Funny, but if it wasn't for medical advances of the last century, David would be the only living person on my side of the family, we would have all died years ago, heh.

Well, that's not depressing!! har!

Anyway, have a great day tomorrow, arrr!

Ahoy!

A chilly day to most, even here! woke up to freezing temps, I forgot to take the patio plants in, wonder if they will survive?

The batch should have started arriving at their European destinations, hopefully we will see a pic or two?

Chatted with the Commodore on the phone, they are running a MRI and other tests today so I will go up tomorrow.

Have a good one, arrr
