Whew, time fer a short break, just cut out the first of the side panels from snake wood. Always a tense time and me hands are shaking a tad bit. One little screwup and the piece is lost to Davy Jones's wood pile, arrr...

On another note, is pink ivory wood difficult to work with? I don't see many wood workers using it.
Pink Ivory? I wouldn't think it's any harder than snake wood or ebony, but perhaps the market for pink wood is rather small. I would probably only buy it if it was specially requested. These are the only 3 I see on e-bay knife scale pink ivory | eBay
True, probably not much call for it is all. I was just thinking about doing a super nerdy marriage proposal with a padauk body/pink ivory panel destroyer ii with that classic two rings engraving and hide an engagement ring in there
