Wow, I know ECF has been slow, but when even I forgot to check in and say "Good Morning", it's getting pretty bad!

End of the day here. The batch is not dry enough to handle, so I won't start the electronics building until tomorrow but I will still make the ship date no problem.

Spent some time stabilizing panels, filling voids, cracks and holes in the wood to get them ready for use. They sure don't originally come like you all see them, there is quite a bit of behind the scenes wood repair that has to be done first, heh.

P.S., Perhaps if you have some spare time, you could share the love and make a post on your "other" favorite wood mod makers thread? Kinda tough times for the wood crafters of late I think

Hmm, I think my last post caused a little confusion, I got a PM asking me to explain.

The wood panels I am making pretty and usable are for batch #19, not the batch in progress. While the finish is drying on batch #18 I am doing prep work on the next batch and many other small tasks while waiting on finish to dry.

Batch #18 is currently drying and on schedule. Tomorrow I will start installing electronics and I expect that to take about 3 days to finish. Then they will get another final coat of finish and when dry they get waxed and shipped. I have a projected shipping date of 11/05/12, but I may be a day or two early. Hard to say at this point.

The next batch is due to start shortly after this one ships. Pre-orders will also close as soon as I start the next batch.

Ahoy maties! with my computer dead & my 2 1/2 year old not -so-smart phone, it's harder to check in....that & the 3 times/week P.T. for my back (usually wears me out the rest of that day) I feel like I'm a hermit miss chatting daily w/ all my pirate friends (& some from other realms of ecf as well).
Hope all is well w/ everyone.
Slow but definite progress with the back injury....might even get ok'd for light-duty part-time work byh mid-December. aaarrrrgh! you know you're bored when you actually are looking forward to finding a job/working!! (had to pass on a few driving jobs this last month, which sucked cuz they were from people I've done contract work for in the past & would've gladly taken IF I was able to do the work). my doctor & p.t. both say full-time work will probably not be possible to Feb/March....getting full range of motion & then strengthening my back has to happen b4 I go back to the "slave galley" or I risk permanent damage...& I do NOT want that!!

rtrain99 I just heard it has been downgraded. Hope that is the case and everything is ok.

BTW how do you like living in Hawaii? Do you ever get island fever?
