I also read the books once a year and have loved them since I was little so I'm an especially harsh critic. I'd say he did better with LOTR...so far. He still has two movies to release for The Hobbit so we shall see. And don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching The Hobbit and you should absolutely go see it. Just know that Jackson went a little overboard with the action sequences and CGI (IMO) and he did add some stuff that I'm not particularly fond of. Also, some of the stuff was just gross for now reason. But, the actors were all amazing - Martin Freeman is an awesome Bilbo and I liked all of the dwarves. Of course, Ian McKellan was great. And he did manage to make it more lighthearted than LOTR without it being too silly (for the most part). So, go see it, and I think you'll enjoy it but have some complaints like me. Hell, I had complaints about every LOTR movie but I still enjoyed them.

They seriously made The Hobbit a trilogy? Or did I read that wrong? Don't get me wrong a Trilogy allows more story to be added. But I am not anxious to have to wait 3-4 years to finish it lol.

Good morning Crew!
I watched the Two Towers yesterday (my favorite one). It's been a while and I almost forgot how well P.Jackson depicted the inner struggle between Golum and Sméagol...I love the last long cover shot in the end, not even speaking about the Minas Tirith battle. Epic! One last and I can go and see what PJ did with the Hobbit.
Have a good one ;)

G'morning maties. Finally done with Christmas shopping (a 5 hour power session) yesterday and found out that I won something. What a great surprise, Thanx Cappy. Now back to reality, it's Monday, I'm making my way to work after a week and change from the flu. Wishing everyone a great start of the week. And remember, 8 more days till Christmas.

Good morning crew! 4 more work days until vacation!

Hey Cappy, what dimensions for panel wood would be required for the new VW mods?

Ahoy waho. I'm not 100% sure, but more than likely they will be about 4.25" x 1.5" for the Destroyer, and 4.6" x 1.5" for the Cutlass door.

That's assuming I can keep the current dimensions for the VW mods at 4.5" x 2" x 1" for the Dest, and 4.8" x 2" x 1" for the Cutlass.

That's compared to the current "5 x 2" x 1" Dest II and 5.6" x 2" x 1" Cutlass II.

I am currently testing the best way to laminate the stabilized wood to prevent significant warping, which is a problem I am having with the stabilized wood. It's turning into a real pain to work with. It looks like a backing laminate of a good hard wood at about half the door thickness will do the job. I tried it before and it seemed to work out good. Many people want the stabilized and colored wood so I have to get that process down cold.

I am trying to get all the panel wood sorted, pictured and made ready for use. I have to do that before I can start to think about taking pre-orders.
will do the trick.

Thanks Cappy! I've been cruising fleabay for wood now and then looking for impulse buy opportunities.

Stupid Photobucket, they revamped the whole site and nothing works right, luckily I finally was able to switch back to the old style that actually works....

Anyway, It's way past time I give people a glimpse of the new Cutlass and Destroyer DNA12 mods.

Click on the thumbnail for full sized picture;

Cutlass DNA next to the Destroyer DNA

Cutlass DNA with electronics cover on next to my Cutlass II for size comparison (DNA is about .8" shorter)

The wattage adjustment thumb wheel will be accessed from the bottom, no screwdriver needed, no LED installed.

The Cutlass DNA, Destroyer DNA next to a Destroyer II. The Destroyer DNA is a half inch shorter than the Dest II.

Tomorrow I will route in the CC and Tank hole, round the sides and give them a sanding and some finish. Next I will try to get all the panel wood finally up on the website and start taking pre-orders.

Time to shut down the shop now, arrrr
