Ahoy! Good morning, happy New Years.

Well, I'm gonna cut my little mini-vacation short, work is piling up a bit and I need to get busy for a couple days.

Hope everyone is staying happy and healthy and not overdoing the guzzling and wenching this year!

Remember when we all woke up in the Tasmanian jail last year because someone though it would be fun to gather 'round the Governors house, set it on fire and sing Christmas songs? Just sayin.... be careful...

Arrr but what an adventure we had getting out!!

Good morning crew!

Been so busy with holiday festivities the last few days, no time to check in! Should slow down now until new years, except for my birthday tomorrow.

G'morning maties. I'd just want to start off and say Happy Birthday to Waho. Rover burgers and rum for everyone. Have a great Aloha Friday everyone.

Happy Saturday maties. Got a late start today. I caught the late show of Les Miseralbes. I went in there with low expectations seeing as how some movies of Broadway musicals don't really stack up. I'm glad to say that I was actually impressed with the movie. I did not know Wolverine could sing.

Ahoy, everyone having fun? Hope so!

Well, I've been vaping on this Cutlass dna for a couple days and have formed my own opinions. I have a A7 RBA installed on it.

Pros - Vapes like a beast, but everyone already knows the VW does that.

Thumb wheel placement is turning out to be as accessible as I had hoped, owner feedback will prove/disprove my opinion though.

The one inch size difference is significant, tip overs are less common.

I installed a Square flush dna button and must admit I like it much more than the round buttons used on the other models. It is a low current switch and can only be used with the DNA board which is a shame as I would like to offer it on all models. Makes a nice click and the square button pad is more ... comfortable? .. to click.

Cons - Battery life has dropped quite a bit. I used to vape 24 hours on a set of 18350's, now I get perhaps 2/3 of a day. I also have a used Trustfire 18650 2400mah battery that only delivers a trickle of vapor, I am assuming it can't handle the current demand of the DNA board. The Panasonic "Efest" IMR18650 2250mah is doing the job wonderfully though.

Edit: Just checked and my other TF 18650 2400mah seems to work fine. Age? Luck of the draw?

Anyway, just thought I would throw that out there. Have a great New Years! Be SAFE!

Nice~! The con was expected so I'm only happy to hear the pros.
The square button does look nice. Maybe I'll go with that option when I order mine.
Isn't that Trustfire battery issue because of they just don't have the current discharge rate like IMRs do? I know Provari makers recommend to use IMR batteries only for that reason. Maybe when fully charged TFs can give enough current for a while, but then as they drop below 4v or something they just can't keep up with the demand.

Happy Sunday maties. Getting geared up for the new years. Doing some house keeping. Throwing out trash and taking down the ole Tree. As far as the A7 goes, I almost exclusively used carto tanks, but found a new love of vaping with the atty. For sure I will check out the Panasonic batteries. I heard so many great reviews on them. And if the Captain will stock them in the near future, then one stop shopping definatly works for me. It also boosts my reward point total :)

I've been using cotton wicks on both A7 and Vivi Nova, and so far I'm pretty happy with it. They wick alot better thus taste and perform better and apparently much healthier as well. They do burn right away when dry so that's a con, but it's pretty easy to keep them wet or even rebuild again anyways.
Someone recommended this in a wicking thread:
Amazon.com: Cotton Square Braid Candle Wick - #1/0: Arts, Crafts & Sewing
so I just ordered some myself. I'll see how it performs.
