Dang, SD. Thanks for that.
I'm a little to young for Jack Benny, but I do appreciate it.
That was awesome humor!
Today, it would labeled "cultural appropriation" or some kind of -ist term.
AWESOME!
Keep up the great work brutha!
Oh a thanks for appreciating it Hypno! That's one of the things I really like about you, besides your expertise of music & the history of it, along with the ones who made the songs and the style of the times!
I truly think that you really love & understand all the things that I do too and it's so nice to talk to someone who really does because in talking with some folks these days, I feel they just don't get it and really missed something along the way!
Some have an appreciation of the past times, or a little understanding of it but most aren't hip to it at all anymore because I think that most history info has been eliminated from the learning process, so maybe now if you don't live it, you don't get it!!! Education a business? Everything a business? Show business...watched the Jack Benny show as a kid, along with some other good ones and was GREAT entertainment, along with every thing being very reasonable, understandable and appreciated.
You really got the most bang for your buck in the 50's & early 60's I think and I think it was about the ones caring about what they gave you for their business end of it, it was more personalized and individualized...simple, everyone knew what was going on, nothing hidden from you, except the things that you didn't really want to hear about anyway!
We really miss so much now with the corporate attitude. No originality anymore! It's just about how much they can get out of you and you don't really get anything you really want, except for the business end of shiny new things, or acts, or shows, or anything without being completely controlled & charged over inflated prices for your entertainment etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, I had my say!

Now back to your regular scheduled program!
