The people who didn't enjoy it obviously aren't familiar with Pink Floyd/Roger waters music. Listen to the Pink Floyd album "The Final Cut". It's about the Falklands war.
Obviously political in nature. Listen to Roger Waters song "Perfect sense". It's about Wars over oil, and the loss of human life in those wars. Again, obviously political.
I could cite many other examples, but you get my drift.
There were no "tirades" between songs. The only song in question with anti Trump visuals was "Pigs" from the Animals album. That song talks about the type of people who are in power, who believe in absolute power, and don't care about anything else but power.
You say there are other venues in which to express their opinions, but Pink Floyd/Roger waters music IS political, and if people were incensed/mad, then I will say again, they aren't familiar with the artist that they went to see.
That would be like me going to see Toby Keith,(or many other country artists) and being upset because they sang with a "country twang". or sang a song about their pickup truck and their best girl.
