I am the eagle, I live in high country
In rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky
I am the hawk and theres blood on my feathers
But time is still turning they soon will be dry
And all of those who see me, all who believe in me
Share in the freedom I feel when I fly

Come dance with the west wind and touch on the mountain tops
Sail oer the canyons and up to the stars
And reach for the heavens and hope for the future
And all that we can be and not what we are

Not the torturer will scare me
Nor the body's final fall
Nor the barrels of death's rifles
Nor the shadows on the wall
Nor the night when to the ground
The last dim star of pain, is hurled
But the blind indifference
Of a merciless, unfeeling world

Lying in the burnt out shell
Of some Albanian farm
An old Babushka
Holds a crying baby in her arms
A soldier from the other side
A man of heart and pride
Breaks ranks, lays down his rifle
To kneel by her side

He gives her water
Binds her wounds
And calms the crying child
A touch gives absolution then
Across the great divide
He picks his way back through the broken
China of her life
And there at the curb
The samaritan Serb turns and waves ... goodbye

And each small candle
Lights a corner of the dark
Each small candle
Lights a corner of the dark
Each small candle lights a corner of the dark
When the wheel of pain stops turning
And the branding iron stops burning
When the children can be children
When the desperados weaken
When the tide rolls into greet them
And the natural law of science
Greets the humble and the mighty
And the billion candles burning
Lights the dark side of every human mind

Each small candle
Each small candle [repeated]
Each small candles lights the dark side of every human mind

And each small candle
Lights a corner of the dark

He sticks to his guns
He take the road as it comes
It take the shine off his shoes
He says it's a shame
You know it may be a game
Ah, but I won't play to lose

He's burning the grass
He take up a glass
He swallow it neat
He crosses the floor
He open the door
He take a sniff of the street

And she tell him that he's crazy
She's a-saying listen baby
I'm your wife
She tell him that he's crazy
For gambling a-with his life

But he climbs on his horse
You know he feel no remorse
He just kicks it alive
His motor is fine
He take it over the line
Until he's ready to dive

And she tell him that he's crazy
Yes she's saying listen baby
I'm your wife
Yeah She tell him that he's crazy
For gambling with his life

He sticks to his guns
He take the road as it comes
It take the shine off his shoes
He says it's a shame
You know it may be a game
Ah but I won't play to lose

He sticks to his guns
He take the road as it comes
It take the shine off his shoes
He's too fast to stop
He take it over the top
He make a line in the news

FWIW: You Krusty, have become the entity I go to for my morning laughs,... just saying :)

@Daleron... super awesome hummingbird video! Remember, they are birds... brains may be small, but they are more than intelligent enough to learn friends from foes... AND most can learn human languages well enough to understand them... obviously, they have no frame of reference for most of what we say... but once they grasp certain things, they have them for life. The speaking versions actually pass along words for a few generations and will actually be the last human language spoken by over 100 years should the fit hit the shan. Final note, the frequency (average sound frequency, not how often) of bird speak has adapted itself with it's surroundings... the songs we hear today are NOT the songs that our grandparents heard! They have went down in pitch and are lower notes than in our grandparents time. yeah... perhaps you could be my parent or grandparent, but the truth is solid despite ones age. Yes,... I'm a firm believer that those just under 20 can be awesome parents, generation after generation... it's always about your up-bringing! Also... I look forward to your morning hello's and the pictures that accompany them!

@Reddhott... You, are in my top 3 for those whose posts I turn to when I need a quick lift-up! Krusty has my public humor down quite well... I wonder if PM's would show our personal/internal humor is aligned as well. (the kind of stuff many find offensive).

Woohoo! I'm home again! I miss the wifey and childies... but it's very nice to be home!
