I'm a 24mg vaper and am wondering about the differences in the different nic levels. I'm curious about the flavor, TH & vapor production differences between 12mg, 18mg, 20mg, & 24mg. I would like to hear from people who have tried the same juice at these particular nic levels and hear what the differences were. Thank you.

Vapor production will be the same no matter the nic level. As a general rule (most often but not always) TH will be reduced with a reduction in nic level. Flavor should stay the same since the nic isn't what flavors the juice.

There are some exceptions for throat hit. Some flavors just tend to hit harder than others. One I use all the time that fits the bill is BWB Applewood. Less nic does not = less TH with that one.

I started at 36 mg nic - then 24 - now 18 and 16. I also occasionally order some 11 mg from a couple of places. I have a couple of bottles of 6 mg someone gave me, but 6 just doesn't do it for me (yet - I do plan to keep decreasing nic over time if I can) so I use the 6 to mix with other juice.

I started at 20 and dropped to 15 and noticed little difference at 10 I noticed a reduction in TH I also started hitting it a lot more. As a result i'm sitting at 10 until I'm comfortable enough its not practically glued to my mouth. If that doesn't happen within a few weeks I might go back to 15.

Other than the throat hit and vaping more I have noticed no difference.

I do have to add!! Im a heavy smoker of 30pus years. I found an esmoke and never looked back. I was hooked HUGE!! Way more than any of my friends. When ordering my liquid, I was given several strength options by several different vendors.I really couldnt tell the difference. In about a month analog free and I cant seem to tell the difference between 16mg and 24mg!! If this is the case, Im gonna try to keep opting for the lesser!! HUGE SMOKE ADDICT!!!!

I make several flavors myself and I can't tell any difference between 18 mg and 12 mg. My husband went from 24 mg to 18 mg and just now started 12 mg, and he says they are the same also. I didn't vary the recipes for any of the strengths.

I also didn't notice a change in throat hit when stepping down 6 mg. Some of my flavors have a much stronger TH - Raspberry and Peach are the strongest. I make everything in 50/50, so that could be the reason for my not noticing any change.

I've dropped from 24mg to 6mg over a few months using the same liquids in different strengths. Pretty much like everyone else said, TH is reduced with less nic unless it's already a strong flavour. I can get by on 6mg with occassional 18mg - 24mg hits if I feel I need it. Most of the time I don't feel like I need nic, I need to inhale something to take a few minutes out. I dropped to 18 from 24 really quickly then after 3 months I just decided to go 6mg and didn't really notice much difference from 18mg. I now have a few 0mg juices around for later in the evening and it's not much different really if you get a strong flavour.

I use all vg, so pretty much nic is the only TH in the liquid but it's been easy to go down to 6mg and lower.

The manufacturerers typically say the same thing and it's well published. But many have said their equivalents are not realistic because nic isn't absorbed as well with an ecig as it is with a real cigarette. I vape 36 mg. It works I have no guilt about it at all. At minimum, start with 24 mg.

The one issue I have with different levels happens because they use impure "dirty nicotine" in most ecigs, so the more nicotine there is, the more of the dirty nic flavor you get. There are a couple workarounds. IMHO with a tobacco flavor, the dirty nic and the burned taste may help in acquiring a taste for the tobacco juice. However for coffee/fruit flavors, impure nicotine is intolerable. Don't buy a fruit juice that smells like a nicotine patch.

HTH,
Dave

I started at 24mg for the first month then switched to 18mg since. TH isnt a big deal for me I just increase the volts to compensate for it. I am considering going down to 16mg and slowing working down to 10mg or so.

Many people don't think about it but Nicotine has a LARGE effect on your blood pressure, you can test it. My doctor double my does of blood pressure meds last week to keep mine in check vs analogs. If blood pressure is a concern for you then get it lowered as soon as possible.
