Hi All,

I’m waiting for Bloog’s restock so I can find out for myself about the MaxxFusion and Bloog’s cartomizers. I’m always interested in any improvements to the KR808 format because that’s the best way I’ve found to get a smoker to switch to vaping. Worked for me and helped me get over a hundred people off cigarettes.

From what I’ve been reading … Bloog’s taken a giant leap forward in battery life and improved cartomizers.

Since I’m an inveterate refiller … I admit it … I’m cheap … about how many times have you all been able refill a Bloog cartomizer before it gets tossed?

Thanks,

Bob

I now have about 25 that have been refilled at least a half-dozen times and another 15 or so that have been refilled at least a dozen times; all still chugging along just fine. I don't believe I've thrown away more than a couple of cartos due to any problem with the carto itself.

I like the prefilled ones too, and always save them to be refilled, but my stockpile is growing much faster than I'm using it up so I tend to throw away cartos for silly reasons like getting juice on the outside of it and being too lazy to wipe it off.

In the interest of getting some good stats, I think I'm going to have to start putting hash marks on them to keep track of just how much juice I put through them before they die.

I have one that's been refilled close to 20 times, but it's a goner. Others are in the 10-15 refill range and are fine.

I'd say 15-20 times is pushing it without some kind of cleaning. I decided I'm not cleaning them anymore, because they're $2.00 each and if they last anything like 10 refills, they're hugely out-performing their intended role. I look at it like this: I spent $12.00 a day on smoking; I can certainly afford another carto when one starts performing below-par.

As an ultra non-spender (analogs, gas, and the family food budget were my only real expenses), I'll be refilling and cleaning my currently 20 cartos until they are D E A D. Once my reserves get low, I'll order some more. Not only as a money saver, but I wouldn't handle the week wait for "fresh" stock very well. Hah.

I haven't been counting, but my main carto has to be getting close to 10 refills. My original order was all pre-fill. Once I vaped all the stock juice from all but my last two, I put the whole empty lot though a cleaning. Then I started refilling. Since my DIY juices haven't matured enough and the fact that I didn't let my cartos really dry out before refilling, they've pretty much been sitting by the side, some vaped empty, others unused.

My original plan was to vape each one "dry" of the juice and water still hanging in them, then really start the refill regiment. However, I found that a pre-mixed sampler was just so much BETTER than anything I mixed, I've just been filling and refilling ONE carto on this juice. I always have one of those other cartos on the second batt, but I find it hard to settle for the lesser flavor, most of the time.

I wouldn't clean them after just vaping away the pre-fill. I never do that. I get to where the flavor starts dropping off, and start topping them off. Once that's almost dry, I just keep refilling it.

I had two cartos that I cleaned when testing a bunch of flavor and PG/VG ratios, but cleaning them seemed to kill them off a lot quicker. They're now trash, the only two I've thrown out yet.

Per Leaford, the pre-filled cartos hold 1ml from the factory. He's said this is a very accurately metered volume of juice.

To be honest, none of my refills are into a completely empty carto, because I worry about burning the internals. A refill for me is, when they start to get dry, I drip a bunch of juice around the edges of the poly fill. 15 drops is usually enough, and that's roughly 0.75ml. By only filling that amount, I know there's still residual juice in there, but they start to taste 'dry' while there's still liquid in the carto, so it's necessary.

I've only done cleaning on two cartos, and it worked fine with water...just don't expose them to rubbing alcohol.
