I must be a complete dumbass, but I can't find any "Report Post" button anywhere.
So my first question is, where is that darn button?


My feedback however, I will leave here, because I feel strongly about it.
And I want my opinion to infect others.

The veterans sometimes are not as open minded as I would like in their responses.
There might be a tendency to think they figured it all out a long time ago.
But things change, and have been changing.

And anyone that complains about "blue foam" should not be allowed to answer questions.

I do think that SJ is looking for folks to nominate themselves, because we are really looking for people who want the job. And only they know if they want the job or not.

It's the little red-bordered triangle with an exclamation mark in it. You'll find it at the bottom left of every post in a thread.

Don't click on just any one -- that's usually meant to actually report a post for forum violations. Click on the one on SJ's post in the thread to which you are referring.

I agree with your nomination of Kent C, and would also add Kinabaloo, Keef, markarich159, and Cisco. Other ones I can think of off the top of my head don't hang out here anymore. I'm sure there are other good choices as well, though.

I'm well read on ecigs so far. Well, as much as I can be in 3 weeks and only using a single model (510). I would love to help out as one of the "experts" but I know there are people that can do a much better job than I can.

The basics behind a PV are....Pretty basic...if you have a basic electrical and/or engineering backround you're an expert before joining the forum...we've now hit a point where there really is nothing new coming out, where anyone who has kept up with the threads is an Expert...but soon there will be some significant changes to that, things that will transform the PV from a simple LED Battery tube to a much different animal...THEN it will be much more difficult to find Experts

I don't like the word "Expert". If you made it "Totally Friggin Awesome Better Than Everyone Else Kickass Jack Nicholson" I'd be all over that. This consistent need to downplay the GODLIKE abilities of someone with ten minutes of electronics training should not persist. Give them a title their impossible to fathom, beyond the reach of mere human, and significantly higher pay grade demand. Maybe we could use the term "A+ Certified MCSE Vapor" seeing as that's also a very prestigious designation.

On a more serious note... I think the term expert was really unfortunate. Most people will be understandably hesitant to jump forward as an expert - modesty and all that. Possibly a request for "very knowledgable people willing to research almost any question" would have brought forth more persons interested in moderating that forum section.

Yeah, but you have to admit, "Ask the experts" sounds so much better than "ask the very knowledgable people willing to research almost any question"

Plus, it looks better as a forum title.

I could handle the Bush Doctrine. I think (and hope) they are looking for doctors, lawyers, lobbyists, electronics engineers, chemists, and people with expertise in other relevant fields.

Nearly everything about vaping is gray. The best one can hope for in a good reply is a comprehensive, unopinionated overview.

And on the thread relegation: If a thread is started that is silly or even dangerous, just reply why and let all sides say their piece and the reader decide. Banning of topics serves no-one really. Already, reasonable threads have been branded 'ill-advised'.
