Honestly, I love small chamber drippers. They are great for flavor.

Well, considering my only dangerous mod situation came from a regulated setting on fire in my vape stand, not sure I feel that way anymore  It wasn't new. I had it several weeks, without any indication there was a problem. It didn't autofire, and I hadn't used it in more than an hour. It just suddenly burst into flames and there was no obvious cause.
I wouldve busted out my marshmellow stash

I bet you would've done what I did, which was rip off your atty on the way to the door and throw it out into the snow, trying not to poo yourself. Marshmallow roasts in one's living room are not advisable.

I like mechs but they can break as well, dropped my last mech 3-4 times, accidentally slipped, fell down the table, it happens, and the bottom firing pin threads got all messed, on the contrary, i havent had a regulated mod crap out on me

Plus, i had 2 shorts, 1 continous firing accident that got me burned, i rather let the regulated mod babysit me and provide a layer of safety than me babysitting the mech and have a small chance of accident
Electronics can and do fail. I prefer to rely on my own intelligence rather than someone that mass produces a million chips.

My daughter texted me at work yesterday. HELPPPPPPPP!!!!1!!!!!111!!!! I got worried so called her. I said what's wrong sweetie. She said the Internet doesn't work. I laughed a little and had her turn it off and on. No go. So I told her she would have to wait. Disappointed she said I guess I can do my homework. I smiled a bit. The was a touch angry that my 1 year old asus router electronics died. Luckily I had another.

One hopes the flames it burst into were regulated...

Which mod? When people report mods spontaneously exploding into fire, it's nice to know the details.

Oh, I had an entire thread about it. It was a Zero styled mod with an sx300 chip. It was reported to the manufacturer and Yihi, but they never got back to me on the cause. I actually still have a second one. I've had it 6 months now, but I remove the battery when its unattended.

Scary stuff. My next door neighbors, both of them, wearing seat belts, were burned alive in their, when they were rear-ended by an 18 wheeler, the driver too busy filling out his log to notice the line of cars I guess. They were driving their daughter to college. the daughter, not wearing a seat belt, in the back seat, was somehow thrown clear and walked away without a physical scratch although surely scarred for life in other ways.

That might sounds like a great reason not wear those lethal killer seat belts. But the gov't keeps careful records of fatalities with and without seat belts. So we know not to make too much of that very anecdotal story (and "everyone" it seems has a similar one)

It would be nice to see someone somehow tracking stats on vape mod failures, by type and etc. My sense is that while there are "a lot" of reports of regulated mod failures, they seem to avoid actually injuring people. While the few reports we see of people actually being hurt, for some reason, seems to always involve mechs.

Or maybe my anecdotal score keeping is faulty, like my anecdotal score keeping of seat belt safety?

I just figure at the end of the day, the device with "the most fuses" wins, in terms of safety and that goes to the regulated mod. But it's a necessarily imperfect outlook.

I only came up with 2 other fires in that mod. One was another member here, a couple months after mine. So it certainly wasn't a common occurence with that mod, BUT it could've set my house on fire. Or killed my birds, who are very sensitive to smoke. Or the battery could've vented had I not removed it so quickly.
