What nic level are you using? Get a higher nic juice depending on what nic level you are already using. Make sure you find a flavor you really enjoy if you haven't already. To be successful in vaping you have to make sure you are fully satisfied nic and flavor-wise so you don't care that they are smoking. Good Luck! So sorry to hear you are struggling.

well...first off, reset the counter on your banner

2nd of all...don't punish yourself...you slipped...and fell down

Get up...dust off...and march forth, stuff happens but just think of all those analogs you DIDN'T smoke...

It's not like you slipped and fell back to OTHER bad habits...

You get one mulligan...next time we beat you with sticks...I kid...I kid... :p

Vaping is a lifestyle change but it does come. Pick one activity that you associate with smoking and replace it with vaping...such as in the car are in my case the hardest after a big meal. Pretty soon it will be second nature. You can always get a e cig alike for those stressful occasions. I had a this one to begin with Mini Electronic Cigarette | Shorty Cig | V2 Cigs but I rarely use it anymore ...Now the simple act of smoking seems so foreign to me now.

Don't beat yourself up. Everyone is different. It can be damn hard to break the cig habit. Some are more lucky than others or more committed or whatever. The important thing is to pick yourself up and start over. When the urge for the sticks hits, chainvape! Up the nic! Meanwhile, stay on ECF. Everyone here wants to see you succeed and will offer support and help as much as we can. Vape on!:)

i havent had an analog since end of april. i will have to admit that there has been a couple times i wanted one, but the 1000 bucks i spent at the dentest getting the tobacco stains off my teeth plus other work gave me the strength to say no way! then going up from 6mg to 12mg for just a couple days it was over.

Definitely try and increase the nic level. If you don't have a portable get one so you have it with you all the time. That is the hardest thing for me if I don't have it and somebody has analogs I'll smoke them. So I have to make sure that I have something all the time. It's simple for me as I use a Blu kit. I know some people don't like the Blu's but the convenience has been a lifesaver for me.

Just think what you are vaping tastes a whole lot better then what they are smoking! Give me my caramel apple anyday! What gets me is at work the smokers would say "I heard those were bad for you" with a cigarette in their hand!

I know the final word is not in on vaping but all I know is how much better I feel then when I was smoking so it can't be worse then smoking by far!

Go ahead with vaping. But use far too hard nic level this time. if you use 12mg go to 24. and smoke if you want to. Only try your vaping sessions are longer than smoking. dont worry after some time you will cease smoking I dont tell you to quit smoking but concentrate on vaping (since it is more healthy) Nobody taking cigarettes away from you. You will yourself one day give up

It happens so don't beat yourself up. I have a buddy who went through the same thing after getting a new job where people could smoke just about anywhere. He was using the njoy ecig before but he really wanted to quit & hated himself for going back. I took him to the vape shop & he ended up walking out with a new ecig, a couple of protanks & some 24mg juice. He hasn't had a smoke since he got that new setup. Hang in there! I recommend what others here have said also. Up you nic! Don't give up! You can do it!

Lots of people smoke and vape, there's no law that says it's a pure binary choice. Getting down on yourself for picking up a ciggie here and there is the absolute worst thing you could do: it'll stress you and make you feel like a failure, and thus make you more inclined to smoke more and vape less.

Do what you need, when you need. As long as you're making an honest effort to vape more than you smoke, or at least smoke less than you did, you're a winner and should be proud of that success. Focus on what you achieve, not what target you miss.

As others said, work out why you smoked/smoke and see if it's changeable. If you need to up your nic content, rock on; if you're not loving vaping, look into different juices that might be more appealing or even a different mod that might get more out of your flavours; if it's just a "because it's there" see if you can make it less there (I'm sure if you asked friends and family to try and not smoke around you or offer you one because you want to quit, they'll try and make it harder to bum one or be tempted by them); if it's a recent stress increase, accept that it's temporary and believe you'll drop the habit again when things are calmer, or see if you can find more productive ways of handling stress, or again look into higher nic options even to keep as an emergency Bad Day stash.

Do what is right for you. There is no fail here.

nikk..U ask "what do I do?"..are U serious?...After 7 months of no analogs and vaping and then going back to analogs...no mercy from me on that one...take some responsibility and make it right or whatever but don't come expecting to get sympathy, or ask what to do...if it was a few weeks and U had a relapse is 1 thing, BUT 7 MONTHS!...that's all on you to make a decision and stick with it...I presume U are an adult, so make an adult decision what to do....we're all here to guide and give advice about ecigs etc, but U already know all this about vaping etc...we're not here to hold your hand and decide what U should do, that's your choice as an adult..

I feel for ya...I'm a social smoker who only smokes when drinking or jamming with the band. I average about a pack a week. some things I enjoy about smoking cigarettes are the tobacco flavor and the throat hit. The many things I do not enjoy are the sore throat, crappy lungs, and smoke smell on my fingers and clothes. I have no problem having a Blu cig when others are smoking, so I figured I'd skip the steps and get myself a mod, seeing as that's where I usually end up in terms of hobbies- I quickly spend more than if I had gone to the "top of the line."

I bet you probably need to increase your nicotine level as others have stated. I've read that cigarette smoke enhances the nicotine's effect, which is why if you get a nicotine concentration similar to your current level, you may actually be "under-dosing" your addiction.

Good luck to you, we all stumble at times.

I am only on day 2 of trying to vape only. I have smoked 1 real cig and felt horrible about it. But I will not beat myself up for it. I am still craving them pretty bad. I am vaping 24mg and it still doesn't crush the urge. I just keeping telling myself I wont do it. I don't need it and wait for the urge I am having at that moment to pass. Not allowing myself to keep a pack in the house has helped too. I truly believe if you really want to quit then you will, at your own pace. I definitely wouldn't be able to do it without vaping. Good luck!

Try increased nic level or find a juice that you really REALLY like and vape like mad. But remember, even if you have an analog doesn't mean you've been beat. Progress can be slow or it can be fast or it can stall, just as long as you make progress. If it's important to you to quit you will, regardless of outside influences. But if you do relapse, do NOT beat yourself up over it. The vast majority of people here, if not every single one, is pulling for YOU to succeed. We're here to help in any way we can. Welcome to ECF!

Great advice for you on this thread. So sorry to hear about the fight. We all know it, brother.

You have to really want to quit to quit. Get some strong juice, a great delivery device (I used evods to quit), and a good battery with adjustable voltage, like a Spinner or iTaste 3.0 for stick batts, or a Vamo for an entry level APV. Vape and smoke while you transition to vaping. Vaping is so much better than smoking, that eventually you'll likely vape more, smoke less, until you only vape. I relapsed twice. First time in 2009 for two years more smoking. Second time I relapsed in 2011 for two years. Enter 2013. Finally, VapeGear got to the point where I could power through the cravings effectively. 36 mg/ml for first two weeks chain vaping with vv Twists and evods. Finally made it. I only now starting to believe it and it's been over 8 months now. Vaping works better than anything I ever tried, and I think I tried everything but Chantix on 18 separate and serious attempts. YOU CAN DO IT!! Good luck, power up and vape on!
