Is the issue with the cover on? I kinda like the way it looks and ordered one with my new mini 2.1. I guess we'll just have to try it and see.

The issue, for me, was definitely the button cover. Just about every time I used it it would spin and lock the button so that I would need to twist it to allow it to fire again. Once I took the button cover off the problem went away.

There is more area on the cap cover and a small turn on the cover results in a larger turn on the switch. Without the cover there is nothing to amplify the movement. At least this is my experience. Might be my fat fingers.

I have the delrin button on mine & I like it, but I had the same 'problem' w/it always being locked. I just learned to gently swipe the button counterclockwise as I hit it. It just happens all by itself now; end of problem. This is just another tip that I read here while waiting on delivery of my Grande. This place is great. And so is my Reo!

I have a delrin button on both REOs. I never have a problem. Thumbs up to my tiny, skeletor digits.

Same here, I have the button cover on my Grand only & I don't have the issue after bending the firing pin up. When both my Reos were new they never had the problem. I'm pretty sure they got loose when I pressed the button down too far without a battery in them. After I adjusted the firing pins they are good again & haven't had the issue since.

And that's a mighty fine looking device ya got there Russ. Does the voltage stay constant w/that chip?

It does. In my case, It never drops off. I change the batteries every day or two. I run it on a very low setting. this is my at home vape. it lives on the counter next to the screen door. I vape it senseless throughout the day and night. I'm vaping it and blowing clouds out the screen door as I type this. :)

Not a necessity, but a damn fine piece of gear for a discriminating vapor hound, like me. :)

Thanks Russ. I really like the idea of consistent power thru-out the life of the battery charge & also where Rob puts the trigger on these. Very NICE!!

The VV Grand is my REO of choice these days because of the two things you listed: the consistent power and the button placement. And it just seems the perfect size for me....very solid....perfect handful. With an RM2 on top, it's the PERFECT everything. I've been in vaping nirvana since I got the combination.

I almost got a VV Grand last time. My only hesitations are that it does not have a voltage cut-out and it uses batteries which nothing else I have uses so I would have to buy four new batteries just for the VV. I did get a Kick to try in one and see how that works out.

All of the different sized REOs are special and best for different situations. I'm just loving the VV these days. With the ability to build RBA coils at any ohms we like, VV is not really all that necessary. But....the consistent vape has me sold. I don't worry much about the cut off because I actually change out my batteries probably much more often than I'd really need to. The standard Grand gives me just as good of vape for the most part, and I never worry about battery life....it just goes and goes. So if I'm going to be somewhere where I just don't want to even have to think about how long I've been vaping on my batteries, or worry about carrying extras, I'll use the Grand. And if I want to stealth vape, I'll use a Mini. Different uses in different situations. I love my REOs, have I mentioned that? LOL
