Ah Tony, tsk, tsk, Ya don't need no stinkin tank rba on a reo, Ya got a 6 ml tank in your mod.[emoji41]

Yeah I know, that's part of my concern lol.
I'm starting to move towards nano kits for my tanks so I can swap out flavors more often.
Also, dripping tends to hit too hard for me.
That's why I'm looking to test drive it. Before I buy.
I'm sure I'll eventually get one. Not sure what I want first this or a good backup for the P------.

Eta: you had to make it harder by adding in the 3ml tank part.
Lol

Rained-out this morning. Just read all 9 pages of this thread. Have had different comments at points throughout this saga.

First- Congratulations

Second- I have been a friend of REOville for 3 years prior to my 1st (TRA LP Grand)

Third- I have been singed by the the flames of REOville before. You're not alone.

Finally- I am still a friend of REOville and a REOnaut

Good read is good. Maybe sticky-worthy-good. Love y'all!

Woo hoo my care package from LadyPharaoh came this morning! She really knows how to make a guy happy :p

So now a few questions regarding coiling the BFRDA

I'm used to normal coiling on RDA's around 1.5 ohms for my normal vaping and around .7 for any cloud chasing I do.

I have 30g and 28g kanthal and I'm wondering what this baby can handle?

Can I dual coil it to get it around 1.5 or will there be problems? What do you guys recommend?
I'm not looking to cloud chase with this thing but I would like a nice big puffy hit.

Thanks for the help guys and gals!

First attempt. Turns out I used 32g unknowingly and I still havent compressed the coils. Should I compress them together or just leave em semi loose like this? I get aggrivated working with such high guage wire cuz its so springy and flimsy so depending on your feedback and difficulty wicking I might just go to 28g.

I agree 28g is my fave. Ive been vaping on this for a bit and its pretty good. The only thing holding me back is the one tiny airhole. The draw suuuuucks lol. Ill have to drill it out or something or add another hole so both coils get hit. I dont really have a drill atm so I might have to have someone else do it.

I figured out my spring started to sag with my .17 build. How do I know? I did it again like an idiot. Anything above .2 should be fine. Remember not to use any abrasives on the contacts. And even though you shouldn't need noalox, I would used some anyway. Might not see any sparking with the coils you have. But mine went from shiny gold to black and full of carbon build up in one day. I am glad you found this place nightowl1984.

The hole is pretty easy to ream out if you have something to do it with. I have a little round file used for reaming beads (got it at a hobby store....but i've actually seen them at Walmart). It won't work to make a second hole, but it works great to ream out the existing hole. Most of us have opened up the air hole.

Nightowl....

Its my turn to welcome you to the fold....and I apologize if my first reply was a bit harsh. I am passionate about Reos. I have 5 of them and even though I have several other devices I still use, its a rare day you don't see me with a Reo in my hand.

As far as air holes, all of my rm2s are opened up to 1/16....they are awesome for me.

Next on your coil...I found my sweet spot at .8 ohms. About 7-8 wraps on a 1/16 drill bit with 27ga is good for me.

I suggest you watch the superx videos too...can't go wrong there and it'll give you a nice starting point.

For wick, I use cellucotton.... Its great stuff and I like it better than CVS rolled cotton. If you pm me your address I will send you some to try

Take care,
Geo

Whoa... I've been crazy busy and not on ECF so much lately. Last time I was here I remember this thread being new. Visiting this evening, and seeing the page count nearly doubled up, I was somewhat expecting some new heated argument over clones and what not. Should of known better, Rob hooked a brother up with affordable authenticity, and the community welcomes with open arms and support.

Rock on Reoville. Rock on.

Nightowl1884: I'm using an RM2 not the Igo, but I find the original holes on just about every small RDA available on the market to be horribly tight on the draw.

I pretty much build all my RDA's religiously using twisted 28g kanthal. 6/7 wraps of that lands me at around .6Ω, which with a 1/16 airhole gives a nice cigarette like hit. (actually exactly like a cigarette) Good for warm and flavorful mouth to lung hits that no kayfun or carto can compete with, and with a bit of "carb" action with your mouth good for lung hits too. (you open your mouth a bit around the drip tip allowing more air in the hit with a direct lung hit.) Not a cloud chasing competition setup, but I'll tell you this; it's easy to completely hot box your car with three good lung hits.

When I go out drinking I use caps with 1/8th airholes because I know the alcohol is gonna make me want nothing but warm and dense lung hits. But the 1/16 I find perfect for trading off for an all day vape.

Well, that's been my magic coil setup for a good 8 months now.

Cheers
