Reo grand misfiring

I use the small pin applicator and I am not sure it ever dries. I cleaned and applied a liberal amount to the top of the batteries in my batter trey ~6 hours ago and they are still wet.

I apply it to the bottom of the battery before putting in a REO.

I will not get lazy with it again. From now on I will take a few minutes and hit the positive contact and the top/bottom of the battery quickly at each battery change.

I clean the contacts, spring and battery top and bottom - I use flat top 18650 - with alcohol then use a q-tip to apply it to the top/bottom of battery, spring and the Nubby part of the contact. Just a "film" worth if it...not enough to be gummy.

Thought I read somewhere on here that Deoxit dries to form a thin coating on the metal. Must've misread.

Anyways, I ordered the tube sample kit in the eBay link posted earlier. Hope it works better than Naolox (which I haven't had any problems with by the way).

Those of you that are familiar with using Deoxit... can you give some general application tips? For instance, do you let Doxit Gold dry on the target area?

It say it redistributes so I don't thing it completely dries. I put enough on to tell there is a film, I don't really wait unless I'm also doing some other build action first.
