You read me wrong. No hating at all is coming from me.
Also, I dont understand why you guys are so up in arms about the wiring.
All VV mods have wires.

This guy is talking about a VV device in the Vapor Flask.

I just offered my opinion.
Sorry ifmine differs from yours, but there is no need to to accuse me of knowing nothing about a mod that I owned.
Mine worked fine for the 3 months or so that I owned it, just wasnt for me.
I dont know, maybe you didnt know there was a VV REO?
The fact that it was regulated, and was dang near a half bolt off when under load, was terrible.
I am glad that you like yours. This is just an internet forum. Relax, enjoy a vape, and dont get so worked up over an opinion that differs from yours :)

I didn't read you wrong at all. I am well aware the Vapor Flask is a VW device and I am also aware of the VV REO Grand. This you would know if you read mine or others posts. You were asked in the thread if you owned a VV Grand. I knew you owned one, didn't need to ask. How I knew, you said your grand had wires...no brainer. The OP is asking about a unregulated REO Grand and not a VV. Even he knows the VV Grand is no longer available... The VV Grand had old contacts in it and therefore voltage drop was not too good in them. As I and a few others mentioned, Rob is now installing gold plated beryllium copper contacts in them and voltage drop is much farther advanced than once was... In fact, for those that are vaping a 1.2Ω+ coil, the voltage drop is very low... Things have changed since you owned yours. You can get the new contacts put in a VV Grand shell after the electronics are taken out of it and turned into an unregulated device now. It has to be done in Maine by Rob though.

I assumed that it would be clear that I was speaking about a VV REO. As I said, it was wired.
If it wasnt, I apologise.
However, I never said anything about the reliability of a REO, yet that was brought up in response to my posts as well.
Heck, I even said that they were reliable.

Its interesting to me that folks get so wrapped up in their mods, to the point of defending that which was not attacked, and resorting to personal attacks.

Nothing is perfect, REOs included, and while squonking is great, it is also more restrictive than something like a vapor flask.

But if you bring that or any other point up in a thread where its "Should I get a REO or xxxx", woe betide anyone who says they are anything less than completely enamoured with the REO, seemingly to the exclusion of anything else.
It borders on fanaticism, and that is never good, regardless of the subject.

To recap:
The REO is a great device, and like anything else it has its faults.
Personally, I find that one of them is that the finish isnt up to what other devices in the same price range offer.
If v drop has been improved, great! Now I know, and thats the point of disussions.
By its nature, squonking, regardless of what mod it is done on, introduces limitations that either restrict atty choice, or requires modifications.
This is not the case on a standard 510 style atty, and its a valid point.
The fact that the mech REO's are reliable is one heck of a low bar. A switch works when you press it? Wow. Plenty of $20 clones work every time.
Still, never did I say that its a bad product.
Sheesh
