Smoking wasn't a hobby. I didn't try every new brand that came on the market. I didn't chase a good smoke. I settled on a brand I liked and stuck with it. The only time I did chase a new brand was if my usual one bumped their prices up too high to my liking. If vaping is approached that way instead of allowing it to become a hobby, then money is saved. If not, then its more expensive than smoking was. But, in my experience... good luck with that. The other thing is: I have settled on both my setup and my juices but all this doom and gloom about regulation has caused me to buy stuff I never would have otherwise which has been expensive but its not like I'm not going to ever use the stuff so if things ever settle down, I won't be buying new stuff and the savings will kick in. I'll probably save a lot since what I've stock piled already would have cost more with exhorbitant taxing.

Sounds deep... Will keep that in mind.

It gets kinda difficult, esp with toys like GGs and the such around.

Gotta resist....

# of days it took me to break even by vaping instead of smoking: 12. That was quick. And that included buying the eGo C starter kit that was like $70.00. Won't have to buy that every month!

In the last 12 days, I've spent:
$12.48 on analogs.
$104.89 on vaping.

And what I would have spent in 12 days if I were still smoking analogs:
$103.56.

I keep the hobby/social part separate from my core vaping needs. The needs are covered by the $2 - $2.25/day.

I'll also pick up some widget things, and I do a fair amount of pay-it-forward (PIF) type activities, whether in the actual ECF PIF social group (see my sig) or in other places. The stuff I pick up or mix (DIY) just to pass around, so others can try it, doesn't get counted as core needs, though it's a major part of what keeps me around ECF. I have things that work perfectly for me, consistently, it's been that way for over 2 years :)

Where I live, analogs are between 10 and 13 a pack (NY). I was a PAD guy, so even on the low end, it was 280 a month. I spend roughly 25 a week on vaping (averaged between hardware and juice since December), I am up 180 a month!!! Not too bad. Sure, I use an Ego with Kanger MT3s, but I found a cool local juice vendor that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, so I feel great about it.

Just started a lease on a jeep for 175 a month, car is clean, no ashes, smells great, and the difference in money between analogs and vaping pretty much pays the car payment! I think that is a win all around.

....is one (if minor) reason I quit analogs. As it stands, however, I am spending far more than I anticipated buying juices and hardware and the like. Now I am saving money....to purchase a Caravela mod.

My good god. Those are breath-taking.

lol - my thoughts this week exactly!

I spent $60 on a e-cig with 2 batteries, which will last at least half a year. I spent $60 on juices, which should last me at least a month. Working out at most $2.50 a day. How are you guys managing to spend so much? :p

That was with a 15% discount though.

Pyrex and drip tips and hardware, oh my. So many toys, so little time.
