Hello everyone it's been a rough day at work I was outside vaping and someone behind me bumps into me and I drop my mod and now it's all gone I was so mad and wanted to get a cigarette really bad I went to the corner store approach the counter and was about to ask for a pack a smokes cause I was so mad but I stopped for a moment and recalled why I stopped smoking in the first place (for my family and my daughter ) I turned around and walked out now with nothing to vape with I stuck it out today and maybe hopefully when I get paid I can try to buy me a new mod and tank but I know it will take a couple of weeks. The point is no matter what happened I didn't smoke and I feel proud of that! ☺

I agree with what Justice and Debadoo said, if nothing else grab a disposable or a cheap cig a like, they aren't great but better than nothing.

And +1 on entering the contests, thanks to them I have been able to get some great mods that I otherwise wouldn't have had.

I edited my earlier post.....I realized that it might have sounded like I was trying to get Capt to use something other than a Reo, totally NOT my intention. I've gotten several porchers to start using reos! lol I was just concerned since he's new to ECF he might be new to vaping and not quite up to doing mechs, building coils and all that just yet. But I totally took that stuff off of there. Capt.......if you're not new to vaping and up to building coils and either know about battery safety or are willing to learn..........I personally believe there's no better mod on the planet than a Reo for a lot of reasons.

If $ are an issue though and you need a cheap something to get you by for now though, you can visit the porch and folks can help you out with that.

I didn't take what you said like that, I took it as offering him ideas to get by and to learn.

oh good! that's how I meant it. I've had a few things be taken differently than I meant them lately, so I think I'm second guessing everything now.

Howdy Debadoo, RedhatPat here. Just remember that here in REOville from what I can tell, you are very special to the REOlounge!

Nothing wrong with that, we were all there at one time. My recommendation to you, buy one of robs clearance non-low profile reo grand or even a mini grand and put a cartomizer on it. Rob sells cartomizers on his website also. If you mouth to lung it's a perfect setup. You don't have to worry about rebuilding an atomizer, only thing to do is fill a juice bottle and change a battery. It's as easy as that. If it ever comes a time you want to try rebuilding, robs sells a rm2 that works for non-low profile grands. Your setup will look something like this.

Howdy Cap, RedhatPat here. Once again, I agree with JetMac. I'll tell you something I'm not sure I ever admitted before, below is a screenshot of my very first REO, a new VVG along with all the fixings like the shorty cartomizers from REOMods like Jet mentioned. BTW, I went with new because I had the funds and wanted to see how it would pass my test of time and behavior and to support Rob 'n the gang.

This photo means a lot to me because (here comes that secret I alluded to earlier) I took it immediately after using it. What's the secret or big deal? Unlike many folks, I did NOT begin to use it or even set it up once it arrived--FOR A WHOLE MONTH!!!

Until I was absolutely sure I read as much as I could (or bugged the heck out of the REO-Vets 'n REOloungers like @nerak 'n @Rhapsodies Fire 'n @vsummer1 'n @boilednuts along with anyone else at the time here in the REOlounge for that matter) about bottom-fed devices and I wasn't even that new to vaping in general so please don't feel like there's nothing you can't ask.

All I can really tell you is that once you start using ANY REO you'll feel vaping taking on an organic feel to it. Many folks here will admit they can tell you how much juice is left simply by their style of squanking (sorry, bad speller here) and you will too once ya get the feel of blind squonking, etc. Same for batteries in many circumstances. Not to mention, it lasted the test of time, in my book.

I was a 3-pack a day smoker. I was a creature of habit. I got me a REO 'n never looked back. Whoa, that rhymed. I think

I still have a tube style mech mode and a 'vari but like the folks here mentioned earlier, you're never gonna be far away from vaping even if you're stuck in a pinch, like traffic on the road and you run out of juice or battery died.

S'long as there are gas stations, you'll always find one of them cig-alikes to hold ya over til you get home. If you really don't want to smoke cigarettes again in order to feed those Nicotine genes so to speak, you won't.

Good luck to you my friend. Afterall, all luck is just preperation + opportunity.

Capt. . . sorry for the loss of your tooter but so proud of the way you are handling it. I doubt I could go back to a gas station cigalike but I could find a vape store and buy the cheapest thing they have there and get by until a replacement tooter came along.

Like so many others, once I started using a reo, my search was over. I am a professional klutz so I can attest that the reo is one hell of a durable tooter. Hell if I had a dollar for every time I dropped mine. . . I could buy a new one for me and you.
