oh wow, that stinks...........were they able to dissolve them? or remove them? Or just leaving them alone?

They just leave them alone I guess. My doc didn't even ask me to go back for follow up after prescribing Coumadin for 3 months. The clots were there at least a couple months already before they diagnosed me--they kept thinking it's something else for a while before finally doing ultrasound on my leg.

yeah the coumadin may dissolve them or at least prevent others. Weird no follow up though

I thought that's weird too. They just seems unconcerned. I've since been having more shortness of breath than before but it's been a few months and the doc I saw last month didn't seems to be concerned. Kept thinking if I should go to a different doc but just been too tired and wiped out.

I've just glanced through the thread for the P67 and that looks awesome :)

I do understand about being just too wiped to deal with it, but if you can, I'd definitely suggest a different doc. I understand about just being shoved aside, and how frustrating it gets. Jup....love the looks of the P67 a metal woodvil! What's not to love!

What?! When taking Coumadin, you're supposed to get regular INRs (a test to check how fast you're blood is clotting). When I was on it, I had to have an INR every single week! They should be watching you very closely!

Sorry to be such a downer. But, please get a second opinion!

Had a pretty bad experience with the nurse there at the Coumadin clinic. Last I check in late Dec I was at 2.2 so the doc said I can just stop taking Coumadin on Jan 22. Told me to go to the drug store to get compression socks myself if I want but I can't usually do tight cloths due to my fibromyalgia. It's just been a very tiring experience.

Edit: and that's the hematologist. My pcp didn't even contact me ever after saying I have the two clots in late Oct and neither the doctor ask me to return for follow up...

I don't handle tight things well myself. One thing that might help is one of those stretchy Ace bandages. You can just wrap it where you need it, knowing that it's very easy and quick to get back off if you need to.

Maybe just try that for a small part of the day. As loose or tight as you want.

Actually, the best thing I've found for circulation in my legs is elevation. I've always had bad circulation in my legs, even as a child. But, lying down with my feet resting on some blankets/pillows (IOW, higher elevation than my heart) helps tremendously.

I sure miss my Woodvil. It's not the same around here without it. I feel keyed up without it. I can't wait till it gets back.
hope it's back soon......don't recall when you said he got it, but seems like it's been more than usual. What did you send it in for again?
