Very busy...

I spoke to Rob this morning (man of few words) LOL!

He just said it's all steel except for the door (with Brass door) and a side fire button like the woodies...

I need to win the lottery LOL too many goodies I want....

:thumb:

All steel? They've always been airplane-grade aluminum...hmmmm.... I wonder why he changed the metal...

I had wondered about both of these too. Kay, Jim, What do they weigh compared to a grand?

I did once weigh some of the gear HRH and i have and the Reos are light in comparison. Fully loaded with juice and batteries the heaviest by far was something HRH has made from brass.

That weighed more than a device i have that runs 3 batteries.

Steel typically weighs about 3 times as much as aluminium and in comparison it is a poor electrical conductor. That matters because the body of the mod is part of the electrical circuit on a Reo and it's also the reason that people use copper mods and contacts.

Best of all would be a Reo made from silver, but i've not been paid yet.

Cut and Paste

Hello Larry the p 67 is a metal 18650 mod with a side button .

Rob

Now don't start on me, they are steel "metal" is a general term, Rob is a machinist OK so they're not some "mystery" metal from China....

No reason to call him...The P67, as well as all other Reo's, (excluding the Woodvil's), are "METAL", (see below), devices and "NOT" steel. The Mini 1.0, 2.0, 2.1, Grand, & the VV Grand. More specifically they are Aluminum... Rob generally refers to his devices as either metal or wood mods... Again, it is a generalization, but anyone familiar with his products know they are aluminum and not steel...

Aluminium (or aluminum; see different endings) is a chemical element in the boron group with symbol Aland atomic number 13. It is a silvery-white, soft, nonmagnetic, ductile metal.
