hope y'all didn't get any damage or difficulties.

We got hit by a pretty decent storm while I was (of course) driving home from work! Branches and trees down everywhere and I made a dummy mistake and tried to dive thru a flooded intersection a block from my house. I knew it floods when we get a good downpour but this time around it was bad! Made it into the middle of the intersection and felt that was far enough, so I backed outta there and took the scenic route home! It wouldn't look too good to have the firefighters come out and rescue the chuckleheaded EMT from the water!
The county above me did get a tornado which unfortunately took out a school. Well I guess the kids may have enjoyed that with the hopes of extending their summer vaca!

Howdy folks, RedhatPat here. Just checking in with some nice oldies to start the day for REOville. It's an oldie but goodie and I'm proud to share it with my friends.

Scott, you better give Spazz a treat. She has been with you one year today. That just shows I put everything on my google calendar.

Thanks for telling us about Dancin'. I thought the same thing when she posted that. Bless her heart. Good thoughts to her. Please let us know if you hear anything (didn't really have to say that cause I know you will).

Jup, don't drown, turn around. we hear that all the time here. Jup, you would never have lived that down if you'd gotten stuck. Sorry to hear about the school. No deaths though??

It's so sweet that you keep track of things that go on with folks!

Scott.......congrats on your one year spazz-a-versary!!!

Ok.....just talked to Dancin......surgery won't be til either Monday or Tuesday. Scheduled for Tues, but possibly Monday, but won't be over the weekend. She was in good spirits, and is getting some rest so that's great!! Said it's not too bad in the hospital, and she has her vape gear, and is vaping some in the bathroom.

Morning Reoville

Dancin could easily vape right in the comfort(?!) of the bed...I did...no one even noticed...I mean, it's not stinky smoke....
That's what I thought, but she's chicken she'll get caught and they'll tell her she can't. I told her pull the curtain, blow the vape into the blanket
Now git yur .... into the hangout! hehehe

That's our saying too, "Turn around, don't drown"! Luckily it was standing standing water but none the less, It wouldn't have looked good, especially a block from the house!
5 minutes prior and the roads were dry as a bone so there were no barricades up, those who do cross barricades and get stuck have to fork over the $$$ it costs to respond and pluck you out of the water! That intersection is known to flood but I haven't seen it that bad in the 12 years that I lived in that neighborhood.
Since the kids up here are on their summer break, only the principle was in that school and he made it out alright even though the place got leveled. The NWS is checking out the damage to see if it was in fact a tornado that went thru, sure looks like it by the damage!

Flatlander!!! RHP!!! Been a long time brother. I'm glad to see you around!

:toast:
I have 3 years left on my sentence before I turn the big 40 yet you still beat me to the punch before I finish a post. I'm must be due for a mid-life crisi any moment now, folks. Stand back.

mwdenko, I still have your e-mails on my blackberry and remember our phone calls. Folks, this cat was new to reoville when I got here and he's a kind soul, despite his hatred for the actor Mathew Fox who played the lead man in an ABC's TV series called Lost, back in the day.

FYI, Lost happens to be my all-time favorite show for more reasons than ya'll need to know, for those of REOville who doesn't know me by now (or yet). Hence the avitar ;)

Don't be a stranger, brother. Reach out and drop me a line sometime. Love to hear about your daughters (no kiddin', in one of my despitate moments I actually tried to sell them my BMW!)

Your friend 'til the end,

RhP

I haven't forgot the resin mods I still need to do more testing before I jump in to deep . Were finishing up the brass patina mods and I will work on the resin mods and let you no my findings .

I wont be doing large runs of any mods in the future . I just did a large run of mini mods and didn't sell enough to even cover the cost of the materials .
I still have 50 wood mods on the site times are changing folks . I have to be a little more careful about what I do and how many I produce .

MY company is down to 3 guys including me .

I am going to be down for a little while shortly I have to have a couple surgeries . I have two hernias that I have putt off for long enough

Yes indeed!

I spoke to Rob right before he released the Woodville' and he is concerned, VERY concerned.

China is spitting out box mods, even unregulated wooden box mods at record rates!

China has likewise realized that to run nickle builds it takes more wattage, upwards of 70 watts or more with certain builds, ergo 160 and 200 watt Chinese regulated box mods, all being produced at record rates!

Finally Evolv has almost released a 200 watt chipset, and the most likely the first boxes will be from Hcigar, Chinese boxes, with Amelikan chips, due in September this year!

While most here and in the Provari Saloon will pay for a Mini, a regular or a Woody, most have a hard time justifying it.

The average vaper is now between 18-30 and is a new or different breed of vaper.

Folks we, most of us here are over 35, and it's not a patriotic thing, in way yes, but we know you get what you pay for!

When I buy ANYTHING made in China I don't expect it to last more than 3 years if that!

The new trends in vaping have literally killed Provape!

Too little too late!

Even us Provarinati heads feel that way, most of us have between 4 and 6 P 2.5' and 1 P3 !

There is no easy cure either; as long as we have the open trade agreement with China and keep buying and selling what most of is junk, it is going to bankrupt American business, and eventually this whole country!

Just my :2c: :vapor:

Let me add they have yet to clone the Reo because it appeals to a very elite group :thumb:

Most have never seen a BF box mod, but now with Vapor Flask, SMOKtek and a few others making BF regulated mods, many are opting in for that route because of the Nickle builds.

Rob said he would be playing with 26650 resin mods here sometime, and that may very well be his redemption, as a 26650 can power nickle builds unregulated!

Hopefully!

:thumb:

I told him I'm in for any 26650 he builds!

Provape missed the chance with the P3, and stuck with 20W if i recall.

I vape mechs at about 70W, so that was never going to work. I'd shell out for a resin Reo, but bottom-fed unregulated mods are my thing.

26650 batteries are only 20A, so i'm not seeing the advantage over 30A 18650s.

26650' go all the way to 50 amp now..:thumb:

You're right on that about the P3 only until recently did they have a firmware fix to bring them to be able to fire a .5Ω atty, and 20 watts don't cut it!

they did clone the Reo though.......not that kui thing, but another one. Even took the pics and description off Rob's site the buzzards. Was really hoping that would cause fence sitters to jump and see how great a bf mod could be if it were done right and make em get Reos. So sorry Rob's in trouble. I really really hope it's a summer slump and will pick up soon for him!

We are a unique group we enjoy the vape, the "kids" vape to see how fast they can cloud a room!

Seems there is some primal satisfaction about "squeezing" the bottle of juice and dripping it all over the place...LOL

Not to mention the hysterical fit I broke into the last time I saw some kid dripping with a 18650 parallel box, unprotected circuitry as he shouted explicative' while holding his hand, and slinging his box some 25 feet into the air (yeah it broke pretty nicely) as he had a short circuit (I think) and burned his hand quite nicely! :thumb:
