Thank you Karen ..getting her LP'd... :D

Robert has two of my Woodvils in the shop now! Both have collapsed springs. The one I got from you, my most unique REO is there. He is rebuilding both and getting the gold! I didn't go for the LP or the new connector.

Hi Karen, how you doing

Sorry I didn't see this till now sweetie! I am at work and off and on here a lot.

I am still working and maintaining! Recently embarked on a legal journey and changed my last name. Now I have my Mother's maiden name as mine. It was a emotional conquest to wear a last name that I feel really fits who I am. After 42 years I feel like my name IS me!

Oh you women and your issues with names. When I got married I had my wife change her name. I wanted her to have my old girlfriend's name.

I married a French girl. She kept her name and insists on everyone calling me by hers. There are people in my neighbourhood who've known me for a dozen years and still call me Mr <her last name>.

We have a place in the US and travel there quite often. One time, the customs agent at the airport looked at our passports and asked "are you guys reeeeeally married or is this one of those communist Canadian marriage type deals?" We told him we got married in Vegas (true story) and he said "Whaaaat... you don't have to change your name if you get married in the States??". My wife gave him one of her patented withering looks and no more questions were asked.

Frank

Howdy Frank, it's been a while since those late night chats in the lounge. Folks, lemme tell you a 'lil something about Frank. If memory serves right, about 2 years ago I jokingly said to Frank in REOville that if he buys himself a lotto ticket (one of those big mega/powerball things) and plays the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 he will win and if he does, all I ask is he cut me a slice of the pie! (Why those numbers? Because those numbers play a role in one of my all-time favorite tv series called Lost. (I lost my ol' man around the time I started to watch Lost and felt vulnerable so that show sorta helped me cope somehow.

Well sir, this man Frank, actually spent his hard earned money on a ticket and lost! Big surprise, I know. But that's not the end of the story. The point is, I truely believe had he won, this man would have sent me some of his fortune!!

Those little things/properties I'd like to believe all of REOville's finest share; both old and new to the group.

I thank goodness for the Internet sometimes because it makes it all the more easier to meet folks regardless what neck of the woods they reside in, including our brothers from across the pond or even half a world away!

Needless to say you've been missed, Sir.

Now to answer your question, I haven't played the lotto in years 'n years. Trying to support my woman through college 'n keeping her happy 'n healthy while staying afloat with bills are enough gamble for ol' RedhatPat these days!

Well Gil, changing my last name was not a joke in any way. You just can not understand how much it can impact someone I guess. It is not only women, some children have their last name changed when their parent marries. It does signify something important.

I do not expect anyone to comprehend the motive behind me taking my Mother's maiden name. Only my closest friends and family know the whole story.

Sorry to bring something up in here that went sideways.

Sorry if I offended anyone here. This is why I have stayed away. My humor is not always taken well. Again I am sorry and it won't happen again. I'll go back to lurking and leave the posting to the more sensitive.
We can lurk together, Gil.

I don't recall you posting anything offensive, Gil

Hell. With all the crap I've posted over the years, I should be the one apologizing :)
