Apple. Had a blackberry it was crap compared to my iPhones.
What downers have you noticed over the years with your iphones? Like, most cellphones have batteries you can replace, how's the dedicated battery compare on your iphone?

For example, after a while do you find yourself teathered to an outlet just to complete a call? What ya think of the shape? The blasted thing (iPhone 6 S) looks like half an iPad! Do you mostly use speakerphone when talking on it?

The Apple Man. If Apple made a vehicle, I'll bet you'd trade your Dodge in for it. :)

Well I'm not the best one to ask because my phone is much smarter than me but I fell in love with my Samsung Note 2 and now have the Note 4. Very simple to use and has an outstanding battery life. I use mine for everything and would be lost without it. There are some really good ones out there. You can always look at videos and reviews on smartphones at ZDNET, CNET and PCADVISOR or some other good review sites. Good luck to you. It's a big decision.

Howdy Tory, thanks hun. I will check out the Galaxy Note 2 'n 4 along with the rest Samsung has to offer because of you so don't sell yourself short and if I get a happy girlfriend over it then you'll get crazy brownie points straight from Amish Country, sister! Along with some shoofly pie, which tastes like having a party in your mouth 'n everyones' invited! Come to think of it, you did say something genus when you wished us good luck and said it's a big decsion, which is, letting her decide for herself!

It's 2015 'n soon to be 2016, folks!! Heck, according to the cartoon show called the Jetsons, we should be driving in hovercrafts by now! Why can't I find me some phone with a super battery in it from Russia that contains a drop of plutonium in it so it won'tjkkj need recharging for a decade or two. Yeah, yeah -- well sure, we'll glow in the dark by age 50 from the radiation but it'd be totally worth it in my opinion, folks!

Just sayin' (Incase any folks from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Apple, Samsung, US Cellular, Motorola, and such are watching)

P.S. Happy hump day REOville. May your Wednesday be productive and busy. Oh nevermind, just make it through the day in one piece, folks!

Good Morning REOVille. Getting ready for an overnight run, but it's an easy one. Sinus / upper respiratory irritation yesterday was horrible. Took two decongestants and slept for twelve hours. Feel better, but still sniffling. Oh, to be young and stupid again....

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)
Howdy Papaw, RedhatPat here. Great job getting in those 12 hrs of sleep, good call. I hope you'll recover before the weekend rolls around 'cuz ya deserve it and your garden needs a healthy gardener!

Hey REOville, long time no talk! I was wondering if anyone knows offhand how much it costs to have a Mini 2.1 or 2.0 rebuilt? New innards and 510 connection? If no one knows off hand, I'll contact Robert, just don't want to bother him if I don't need to.
Hope all are doing well, things got kind of crazy here, but have calmed down again.
Now work is calling, Later!!
You 'n Parma have been missed sister! Welcome back into the fold

I'm looking for medium to high price range feature-rich yet practical smartphone as a birthday gift to my fiance.
My son has the samsung note 3 I think, and also loves his. But they are really big. I will start this by saying, my cell phone hasn't had service to it for several years, I use it like a PDA. The only reason I bring it up at all, is cuz it has several things you listed that you loved about your bberry. It's a motorola backflip phone. It's android, so tons of apps. It has the touch pad on the back of it. It's compact, but has a full old skool horizontal keyboard. Not sure if they even still sell em, but if they do, they'd be dirt cheap I'm sure. (probably not your first priority, but a definite benefit). I love how it just flips open to use the keyboard. You can set the touch pad thing not to work if you want, and just scroll with the touch screen. The one drawback I have with it, is that while I can see everything just fine, I do like the larger screen of my son's phone better, but love my keyboard, and the smaller size is much more hand friendly for me. Pretty good camera with flash, and 5 home screens. I don't talk on it everyday of course, but had it since 2011 I think, and the batt is still going strong. I use it for calendar, appts, notes, and my address book, store all my numbers in there, so look those up often.

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
No issues with my batteries Pat. When it gets tired it's time for a new one but if I did need to replace it they are easy and cheap to replace myself. All in all its a way easier system to use way less hassles than the androids and Microsoft phones. Very user friendly there are some little tricks to learn as you go but they are all very basic.
