Good morning REOville! Apparently it stormed overnight and it's pretty soggy out there....slept right thru it! Hopefully it'll dry out by the time I get outta work so I can mow the grass before it becomes a jungle!

Hope the two birthday gals have a great "day after" day!

Me too........we must be in different ones.

yur not bad....and thanks!! Hope you had a great night

Mornin Dawggy! (tell me if ya mind me callin ya that) glad ya slept through it.

I don't mind one bit, I've been called way way worse! No I'm mad that I slept thru it! I love nocturnal storms which is usually a rare event here! I love watching and hearing them come in from a distance when everything's quiet! I blame Mrs Underdawg and her dependence to AC!

well in that case.......awwwwwww Jup I love em too. Used to live in a trailer and the vent in the master bath had a metal plate on the roof........loved hearing the rain plink plink plink on it as I was going to sleep. Love me some storms when they aren't dangerous ones, specially at night.

But I'm gitting 'round to it, plus I'm at work and it wouldn't look to good if I'm at the hang out and not "working" lol! I'm just waiting on the rain to let up then I'm out washing the rig cause ya know.....the weekend crew didn't do it!

Ya when I was a kid I was scared :censored: of night time storms......Ft Hood took care of that! I remember one night in particular, we were out in the field doing exercises ( I was most fortunate to be on KP duty.....which is kitchen duty in a nutshell :grr:), anyways I fell asleep under the moon and stars ( I'll sleep out in the open if possible) only to be woken up by a flash. Yup storm rolling in and a NASTY one at that! So I get in the tent and the wind got so bad that it collapsed....no one hurt but it and the clean up sucked big time! After watching that storm come in I was hooked and haven't been scared since!

KP back on post was a blast! All you can eat including ice cream!! KP in the field....cruel and unusual punishment!! It was only the night storms that freaked me out, I always thought a tornado was going to come thru. I've dreamt about tornados a lot when I was younger and they were one of my biggest fear and thanks again to Ft Hood, that's no longer the case!

Yeah like I said before, at least they're consistant! Well now I have a bit of motivation to sign up and check out the hangout!

Happy Belated Birthdays Deb, and Karen. I have been busy with my son here, still. His time off is just about up. But we have had some time together at least. Once a year is just not enough. He is at a friends today, and will go back to his dad's tomorrow. It is hard to make the rounds and see everyone, in such a short time. Hopefully he will be able to get stationed closer to home before long. He got a pretty bad sunburn. The heat has been rough on him, since he isn't used to it. But he is adjusting fairly well, considering. He goes back in 3 days. Oh, I can't tell you how much I dread that.

Just got back to Georgia today after my Texas 12 day vacation. Had to drop off two dogs and kiddo with my parents so I can prepare for my next big move. Still have a dog and cat here, just me and the wife. Feels so weird without the kiddo but we were able to FaceTime with him earlier today. I left him my iPad so he could FaceTime with us. My mom and dad love having him around and he's getting time he never really had before with his grandparents. He's so happy I'm leaving the military, he's excited that I won't have to deploy ever again.
So I spoke to SpaceX yesterday and today and basically everything has been approved by the hiring managers there at McGregor, so I'm going thru the final steps of the hiring process which is done at corporate level out in California. They basically have to conduct the background check and credit report, so I'm guessing once those are approved I'll be officially hired. I should find out next week. The plan for now is to get rid of stuff we don't need to lighten our load to pack by way of selling or donating or just giving away. Then pack everything else we are keeping and load a big uhaul truck and move to Texas. We also need to find someone to rent out our house so the mortgage gets paid. Lots to do, been super busy, haven't been on here in quite some time and will probably just check in from time to time when I can.

I've been growing my chin whiskers for about three weeks now and realized some of my whiskers are white, I must be getting old or something. The plan is to not shave it for a year, I'll keep it trimmed and shaped but that's it. I'll shave the rest of my face and neck just not the soul patch and chin whiskers.
