Sorry to hear that, I lost my dog for a night and it was horrible. I couldn't imagine going through putting a dog down. Though at the end of the day, if my dog is in constant pain I would make the decision I think. I'm jealous you have great danes. My fiancé and I want to get a couple great danes. Wish the best for you and your family and your other dog as well.
Im very glad to hear you found your pup! & thanks

My heart goes out to you. We lost our 9 y/o miniature schnauzer last week. It has been sad coming home in the evenings and only giving out one treat and scratching one head.
Sorry to hear of your loss Darrell, you speak the truth about handing out treats and scratching one head. Hailey was the one who lived for cookies, Kaos isn't even eating them now. In fact his eating and drinking has taken a nosedive but I suspect it will gradually get better.

Here is Reo. I gave Roxie to a friend because she was too hyperactive for me to keep.

The time came to put down one of the fuzzy buddies, rest in peace Hailey girl. Shes the one on the left. A mild mannered great dane with a big heart. I think the boy dog is feeling it.

My heart goes out to you. It's been just about two weeks since I had to put down my two year old cat Bart

Bart fetching his magical golden ball :)

I have seen a change in behavior from his sister kitties, they miss him, like looking for him at play time and feeding time. It is always a tough decision to make, but it is a kindness that we can give when we cannot fix what is ailing them.

Thanks Rob, and Cheryl. He was quite a character, very smart. I still catch myself checking my shoes for toys left in them, that was one of his tricks :)

Your babies are so cute. Are the black and whites Jack Russel terriers or Rat Terriers? My Black and white is an American Rat Terrier. His name is Oreo and i call him Reo for short.

This is my new little boy, Fen, with my foster girl, Gidget, in the background. Fen has no inner eyelids and will be going in on Wed. for his second electrolosis treatment. They are removing the hair from around his eyes as it irritates them without the inner lids. Never heard of such a thing!

He was used as a "seeing eye kitten" by the shelter. They had someone foster a litter of blind kittens and Fen went along as their mentor. When the blind kittens were placed Fen found his way to me. He's such a dear little one and I'm thrilled to have him join my small family.

how old is gracie? she looks grey around the snout. i love senior dogs even more than puppies

Believe it or not Doffy, Gracie is the youngest at 5ish. She just seems to be getting gray early. The little white chi is the oldest at 11 plus. And the other two are 8 and 9. With them being rescues the ages are guesstimates on a couple of them. The little chi could possibly be even older. LOL

Three are rat terriers yolo and the white one is a chi. I volunteer with a rat terrier rescue. The chi wound up with us because she was dumped at a shelter with a male rattie and had pups while there that were half rattie. [emoji6] So she is an honorary rat terrier.

Oreo is handsome BTW! Like the name REO LOL

We had to say goodbye to our beloved GSD Bristol Friday. He collapsed here at home Friday afternoon and after rushing him to the vet discovered that something was causing fluid to form around his lungs causing him great difficulty in breathing. He never showed any symptoms before he collapsed. We were told there was nothing that could be done. He was really struggling to breath, it was so hard to see him like that. It all happened so fast too. You never know when or how death will come, that's the hard part. No time to prepare.

That makes me really sad. I'm so sorry for your loss. I dont know what would happen if we lost one of our "kids".

My wife always tells me when/if Rasputin passes (cat she's had since before we met) to bury her along with him. I'm not looking forward to when that day comes...
