My spring collapsed I had a spare one so I exchanged it but noticed it still sparkles when I push the button, this one might have collapsed again and I am with only one left . Whats going on in here?
well i did now, Im gonna have to replace it again, I noticed that the tip of the firing mechanizm (the metal piece) is a bit black is it still safe to use?
Take out the battery and see if you can clean that little tip with a swab and maybe some iso alcohol. See if the black goes away. If you have noalox put a little dab on that tip.
Do you have a multimeter?
As Tim said usually when the spring collapses it is the fault of the atty or cartos. A multimeter would let you check the atty you take off and let you see the reading.
Make sure the atty or cartos you were using when it happened is tossed!
First thing you should do if you get any sparking is remove the atty or cartos that is on.
Sometimes just tightening the atty or cartos while putting it on can cause a short. Always make sure they are held straight when making contact with the connector.
Always check the bottom of the atty or cartos. The center ring should not protrude out.
Glad it is now working for you!
The sparking your talking about is fixed with a clean contact or a drop of noalox .If you smoke another spring please send the mod to me it does however seem you had a bad carto . Keep us or me informed
