The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Doubt this will work but you never know. Take the screw out of the spring and Noalox its threads or the hole where the screw goes through.

That does make a difference. I even went as far as sanding the anodizing off under my spring.

Since I got this one working I figured I'd clean the spring on the others. I have done two more and what I found surprised me. Both of them had gunk (e-liquid or residue from cleaning?) underneath them. The screw threads were mostly covered in whatever it was.

Cleaned, filed (spring and contact) and noalox and they are both working even better now :)

I should start this post off by saying that my Grand with RM2 is performing awesomely, so I guess it doesn't really belong in this thread.

However, I have had some problems with juice leaking into the catch cup, I find myself needing to clean it out once or twice a day to keep it from overflowing. Obviously this isn't a big deal, much less leakage than I was used to with my previous setups but seems like I should be able to stop it or decrease it. I have always used the supplied o ring and just recently noticed that the atomizer screws in exactly as deep into the 510 connection with or without the o ring. Maybe I should be using a larger o ring to get a better seal?

The juice is definitely getting into the catch cup through the 510, not over squonking through the air hole. Though I am guilty of the occasional over squonk since I have had it only for a few weeks and am still getting it figured out. My juices have all been 70pg/30pg or 60/40, so maybe it is leaking out because it is too thin? Overall, I am amazed by Reo and RM2, just being a little nit picky. If anyone has any tips or advice, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Btw, I have picked up a multitude of information from everyone's posts regarding building coils and mechanical mod use in general as this is my first step away from clearomizers and regulated voltage, so THANK YOU ALL!

Hi there! Try replacing the thinner o-ring in the catch cup with the size that comes in the 6ml bottle cap. Works much better for me.

Thanks for the response, I will give that a shot. Do you know if that ring is the same as the larger one offered on reosmods site (1.5mm x 10mm)?

I believe so, yes. It looks like Rob is currently out of stock though. You might send him a message and I'm sure he can confirm on both questions.

I have a rebuild kit and spare 1.5mm O rings. The O ring in the bottle top from the rebuild kit is thicker than the 1.5mm

I use the thicker O ring that rob sells in mine and I have a nice snug RM2 that does not leak.

For my workhorse Silver Mini 2.0 I had to go even larger o-ring to stop the leaking into catchcup. It is US #41, 9/16" OD x 7/16" ID x 1/16". It fits snuggly into the older, smaller ID Mini wells. Danco part number 96755.

Thanks for the help guys and gals! I'll round up some different sized o rings and see what works! :toast:

I would be lost without all you reonauts! Thank you for the wisdom

Ditto!

In case anyone finds it useful, here's an update on my o ring experiments. I was able to get my hands on three sizes: the one from a spare reo bottle cap, a 1.5mm x 10mm and the 9/16" OD x 7/16" ID x 1/16". The ring from the bottle cap was too thick, no matter how hard I tried to screw the RM2 down I couldn't get it to make a connection. The 1.5mm x 10mm ring works and I can get the atomizer screwed in almost as far as with the stock 1mm x 10mm, I screwed the RM2 down only as far as I needed to get the connection. The RM2 is now a lot tighter than with the stock ring and seems like it will have less of a tendency to loosen, whether it leaks or not remains to be seen. The 9/16" OD x 7/16" ID x 1/16" seems to fall in between the other two rings, thickness wise. I was able to screw down the RM2 to make a connection but it was really tight, since I don't want to put any undue stress on the 510 connection I am going to stick with the 1.5mm x 10mm ring for now and hopefully the days of leaking are over!

I will add allot of the time people think the atomizer is leaking from under the atomizer but most of the time its actually coming from the air hole . I no this because I am guilty of it myself . I put a o ring around the atomizer just under the air intake sure enough this is were the juice is coming from . Try and lean your mod to the opposite side of the air hole while pushing the bottle . If your coil is siting high off the deck you will have to put more juice into your atomizer in turn you end up with more juice leakage

Could be my issue, I'll keep an eye on it and try the tilt/squonk method. Though, with the larger o ring my atomizer isn't loosening up when the mod falls over or rides around in my pocket. I'm pretty sure I was getting some leakage from squonking and not noticing that it had unscrewed a little.
