I will add allot of the time people think the atomizer is leaking from under the atomizer but most of the time its actually coming from the air hole . I no this because I am guilty of it myself . I put a o ring around the atomizer just under the air intake sure enough this is were the juice is coming from . Try and lean your mod to the opposite side of the air hole while pushing the bottle . If your coil is siting high off the deck you will have to put more juice into your atomizer in turn you end up with more juice leakage

I agree that can be one way but with workhorse Mini 2.0 it is coming from bottom. It is the only one that leaks that way out of many REOs. At first I thought it was only with one particular RM2 in that Mini but have since found it does it with all five RM2s. The bigger o-ring fixes it, with all the RM2s on that Mini. And it, also, facilites positioning cap hole at 11 to 1 oclock better with any of the RM2s.

Some of my REO, wood or metal, RM2 combos end up with hole pretty near 6 oclock position, most usually 5 or 7 at worst. I rarely get any leaking out of hole by turning my hand a bit. I've done it enough I usually don't have to think about adjusting whilr vaping. For me it beats not having to use and then lose o-ring when I take RBA off for weekly cleaning (and cleaning gunk out of well if needed).

I've had the 1.5mm x 10mm for the last week and a half and not a single leak. It has been riding around in a pocket or a backpack more than ever. The RM2 never loosens either. The setup is working fantastically!

Thanks for the update, FishinMT. Glad you got that sorted.

If I clean my grand it works fine for a few minutes and then gradually fades. Lots of sparks where the firing pin meets the battery. Any ideas?

I was trying to file mine but found my files would not reach the contact well. I would get the same as you, good for a few then stopped firing.. Put on a dremel sanding wheel and the metal shaving flew! Be careful not to take off too much if you use the dremel.

Take out the screw and the delrin plate cover. The you easily swing the firing pin out of the Reo (still attached) and file it.

Be careful when you take the delrin cover off.....that long screw holding it on screws right into the aluminum on the body of the REO and it can get stripped pretty easily. It's easy to take off, and it's really convenient to be able to get to the firing pin, but just be careful not to apply TOO much torque when you're putting it back on. If you strip it, it's NOT an easy fix.

To get to my firing pin with a file, I've had to break the end of a nail file off (I just snapped it off with some needle-nose pliers) so that it would reach. Also, when you're filing, apply some pressure....you're trying to knock oxidization off and get down to the metal.

i have a small, square file (about 1/8" wide) which is the only file out of a set of 10 or so with which it's possible to reach and rasp the firing pin without also scuffing up the delrin cover.

Get a set and see what works best for you. This information is too late for my first grand which has been thru hell. Emery boards and nail files were a waste of time.

I have broken the anodised area below the bottom spring and added some copper wire to the spring so it reduces the voltage drop of reo.

But im still not satisfied with my reo, i think the firing button isnt that good at all. It doesnt get proper contact with some of my aw batteries that are a little shorter than the others (the nipple has shrink after use in telescopic mods) That causes sparks while other batteries seem to work ok, but still i can notice the voltage drop comparing the vape to other mechanical mods. i would like to hear if somebody has made improvements to that button.

Third issue that i have found at reo is that the 510 connector wiggles a little bit. That may not have an effect to performance but it would be nice to tighten that up somehow.

Please let me know if you have some ideas or instructions!

putting a wire in won't likely make much difference in the grand scheme of things sanding a little coating off under the spring will do just as well. the 510 connection itself cannot wiggle you have likely stripped your threads a little if you've ever dropped the Reo and it landed on the atty thats the culprit I have done several and have had to have the connector replaced on 2 now

Are the 510 connectors for sale or did you send the mod to Rob to replace them.

Hey all

I'm adopting a 14500 Mini. Hasn't been paid for - yet - so I'm not technically an official Reo owner.

When it comes to the matter of voltage drop in all this cleaning and filing and Noaloxing (is too a word) is a consistent 1/2 volt drop reasonable? 1.5 ohm 306 atty going on here. Or should I be heading in there to do lather, rinse and repeat to try and get less of a drop? It seems to be performing well. Just wondering where the lines are.
