The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Guess I'll put my problem here:)

I just received a mini.2 from the classies. It had a delrin button cover on the firing pin. Looked the mod over then depressed the button.....it wouldn't return to original position and was immovable. Took off the delrin button, tried to push gently on the firing button,,,nothing, frozen. Tried to move the button left and right, thought maybe it was in the lock position...nothing, it's frozen.

Help!!!
yep like the beast said wash it good first :) then see what happens

Sounds like it might just be junked up a lot. Try soaking in a nice hot bath for a while. If that doesn't loosen it then we'll need to pull out the delrin cover and take a look under the hood.

NO NO NO! I CAN'T do anything at all
"UNDER THE HOOD" !!!!

That'd scare me to death!

( I see three smart folks down there...good!)

Just out of curiosity, where is "Here duh"? Maybe someone else from Reoville lives there also and has a spare firing pin they could part with today and get you up and running!!! Just a thought...

1 x reomizer 4.0 Low pro mods only
1 x LP reo grand metallic blue
1 x Grand positive contacts

Waiting on next Tuesday..I'll live that long I think. :)

You should post a thread stating your problem. I am sure someone close has a old firing contact they took out of a REO to upgrade. You could have one very soon!

I posted in the FB Reonaut group for you. Will see if we get you some help.

Can I use a soft toothbrush on the under side and the top of the button? Can I use soapy water?

Can't believe I'm in a panic:laugh:

And THANKS for the quick responses!

( I got it for someone else so I want it to work perfectly!)

Not sure if I saw it answered. Yes you can use a tooth brush and soapy water on your metal Reo, I do all the time. If it loosens up a bit keep moving it around in the soapy water to help get all the gunk out.

If you need to pull the delrin cover, it's not bad at all. PM and we can jump on the phone and I'll walk you through it.

Aww!!! Thanks for the offer, but I managed to get it unstuck with just a nice warm bubblebath and a soft toothbrusf, per the advise here.I SHUDDER at the very idea of removing the delrin cover!

Oh...not just removing it, but messing with anything inside it.

Did i mention that i'm destructive with out even trying?
