South Florida!
My Halo order has shown Electronic Info Received since Monday, no updates. I placed an order coming from Honolulu to Florida today and just received Acceptance on USPS. I've had packages reach me faster and with more consistent updates from Hawaii than ordering from vendors who are a few states away from me and even in the same state. Maybe its regional but it sucks nonetheless.

Wanna know how good USPS is? I just got some regular mail today...

I opened up a card addressed to my 2 year old daughter. It was a Valentine's Day card postmarked 2/9/13

I got a post card type card from the college I graduated from in January (2nd Master's). It was a graduation info card postmarked 3/11/13

I got a flyer for a sale at a kid's clothing store running 4/1-4/10

Can't make this stuff up. What did these idiots do, hang onto them and deliver them all at once? Good thing there wasn't something like a wedding invitation in there that was delivered 6 months late and caused family drama.

Well, I'm going to re-iterate my belief that Halo has improved order fulfillment, but the NJ USPS believes tracking is optional! My last Halo order had the'Electronic Shipping Info Received' on 6/6 (Thu) and nothing until it hit my NV Post office on 6/10 (Mon) Not bad travel time, terrible tracking. Regular First Class, not priority.
I placed orders with four ECig vendors using Regular First class USPS on 6/16 (Sun) and all arrived on 6/19 (Wed) with perfect tracking on all four. Great job by all NON-NJ USPS.
Again, I say the problem is in NJ USPS.
As a side note I ordered from the DisneyStore which unfortunately used UPS Ground, the good news is the tracking was spectacular though 10 different points the bad news is that it was accepted on Wed. and finally made it to me the following Wed.
I'll take faster delivery and lousy tracking for my orders any day.

Every now and then I hear a story about a letter carrier who passed. In their house they find years and years of undelivered mail...

Is that like Newman on Seinfeld having bags of undelivered mail in his apartment and storage unit? Ever see the episode where Jerry delivers the mail so Newman can get his transfer to Hawaii? Newman says the post office knew it wasn't him delivering because everyone got their mail. No carrier has ever broken 50%. Great show and episode.

Call them and see if they are willing to give you a discount on a future order since it sat. If it had been a weekend order I could see it sitting BUT the fact you say it was on a monday and didnt ship for a couple days is a little out of line in my opinion. ALTHOUGH maybe they were letting it steep but wanted you to have tracking?

I would say its worth a call and even just ask if they will explain why and see if they would be willing to offer a future discount for the inconvenience. (The worst they can say is no and then you can decide if you want to order from them in the future or not at that point)

Any honest company will either have a good reason and it will always be a couple days (I would think that my steeping assumption would fit this scenario) or offer a discount in the future.

Hope that helps

Darn. Got tracking on Monday. Seems to have just hit the PO today. I guess the expedited shipping I payed was a waste.

The juice better be worth it.

The juice has nothing to do with it. You made the decision to chose a higher shipping rate for a perceived "faster" ship time. Blame the cost on yourself or the USPS workers.

HALO always ships promptly.

Are you saying you know when my order shipped? How exactly is that?

I've shipped and received enough packages that I know when I should receive them based on the location, shipping company and shipping method. Of course, if they hold onto the package for an extra day that's out of USPS's and my control. You are suggesting there was something I could have done to get it quicker without the expedited shipping?

Lol. Just checked. I actually ordered it Saturday.

My order seems to be in limbo. I ordered on mon. morning and tracking is still saying Electronic Shipping Info Received. Oh I live in NY so not to far to travel.

That is indicative of nothing, your package more likely than not is on its way.

I ordered my last Halo shipment last Firday, and it showed as "shipping" the same day. USPS tracking showed nothing until this morning, when it suddenly showed delivery for today, which it did. I have gotten used to that...sometimes tracking works correctly, sometimes not, but the deliveries themselves are pretty consistent.

I don't know why folks get irritated with Halo when the USPS tracking system is always hit and miss...nothing Halo can do about that. Just because USPS shows electronic shipping info received and nothing else, does not mean that it is not on its way.

If you read the email Halo sends when your order ships, it states (direct quote):

"Although your order has been shipped, it often takes some time for USPS to update their system with tracking information. Orders shipped via First Class Mail are included with delivery confirmation only, and may not offer full tracking capabilities."

First Class tracking doesn't technically have tracking, only delivery confirmation. If the tracking updates, it's not because they're obligated to do so. After the package is delivered, it's obligated to tell you it was delivered, but even that doesn't get updated in real time.

As far as upgraded/expedited shipping is concerned, not leaving on time is BS. If you ordered before noon on Saturday, it should have went out the same day, according to Halo's website. If that was the case and it didn't go out, you deserve a refund on the extra shipping IMO.

This seems like a common occurance. I wonder if Halo is using a non-conforming label?

The other possibility is that they are dropping the packages in a mailbox after pickup.

I've shipped and received hundreds of priority mail packages. Before priority mail changed, I would get an occasional late update. This is my first since.

For $3 it's not worth the call. But if this is happening to a lot of people, Halo should want to address it.

Oh. And my packages shipped from MI? I thought they were in
NJ.

Always had this with Halo or is it USPS. Ordered Saturday, electronic info received Monday, nothing since. I actually went on a non-USPS tracking site and it showed it was in..........Africa....I just laughed. Usually I get nothing on tracking until the day before it's "out for delivery", don't know why. My account shows my last four orders "processing". Any other vendor I use is right on with tracking info. Patience is a virtue I am not blessed with, but as usual when it's delivered I'm a happy camper, after all it is Halo. But I still like to follow my orders, ya' know?

USPS even states in the tracking down at the bottom that the information is only required to show when and where it was delivered and that updates are not a required or even part of that service (they are more of a convenience and extra service that is offered but not required). If you want step by step updates you need to pay for UPS or FEDEX.

If people don't use a shipper often enough, the little quirks they have can sometimes be annoying or frustrating but they all seem to deliver within their promised times....

Priority mail, which I chose, now includes tracking. This is for the last two or so months. On time for my package would've been yesterday.

I have bigger problems then to worry about my e-juice. But I was surprised when the blame goes to USPS or even the customer. I was also surprised that others had the same problem on the same ship day.

EDIT: My package is out for delivery. I can handle a day late. I'm just as excited to try it as I was when I ordered it.

Where are you getting the "On time" date from, out of curiosity? If it's from USPS, they don't set a delivery date until they update to "Accepted," which they won't do until they physically have it in their hands. (If they ever do actually "accept" it.)

The thing is... Priority tracking is no better than First-class. USPS says it is, but I've used it enough to know it's not. Priority tracking is just as iffy as First-class. I've had Priority packages stay at "info received" until they're "Out for delivery." I've had First-class packages that I've tracked all the way along its route.

USPS recently changed their Priority Mail program. Beginning two months ago, all priority mail includes tracking. Until then, any tracking updates were just a bonus. The verbiage on the website changed from a feature of Priority being "Delivery confirmation" to "USPS Tracking...".

The other change is that Priority mail is now promised within 1, 2 or 3 days from when it's shipped depending on the location. There is no more 2-3 days. I think this program is only a couple of weeks old. You've probably noticed that the shipping labels now say 1, 2 or 3-day. What it does, is helps USPS compete with UPS and their single zone next day shipping. I have now received three Priority Mail packages shipped from NY and NJ overnight. Previously, it may have taken another day.

As far as where I was getting the on time date, I had assumed that it both shipped on Monday and was shipped from MI. That would've been a 2-day. I now know it didn't ship from MI. Being that it shipped from NJ, I should've received it the next day which would've been Tuesday. It is very likely this is a USPS goof up, but I don't see many of them and I ship and receive lots of packages.

I like USPS Priority Mail. For me, they are cheaper and faster. If it fits, it can go in a regular mailbox.

I've completely stopped checking on the tracking from USPS.

It's never the same for me. I've had some that were perfect and some that never updated until after it was delivered. Twice now I've had packages listed as delivered when they were not. (this one actually worries me a bit even though they were actually delivered the next day)
Anyways- I'm going to stop checking. If i get a shipped email from the vendor and it doesn't show up in about a week then I'll get in to it.

USPS made changes to Priority Shipping & Tracking as of July 28th. Here is a link to USPS info about it:
