I have a Rev. 1 that has a 1 piece top unlike the newer GGs. There is leaking which I believe will be solved by replacing the o-ring but I'm also having a problem with the connective threads. While some atomizers will screw on tightly other attachments like my iatty will not screw in and actually pop off when I'm using them. Think that this has something to do with the floating connector pin but can't really say. The iatty screws in and works fine on my other mod.

My questions are 1) can I replace the atomizer connection or full top cap on an older GG? If not, can I take it apart? 2) does anyone know what sized oring is needed inside of the top cap for this GG.

Thanks so much! Any and all advice appreciated.

The leaking could be a wore out o-ring.

Those old 4in1 connectors and iAtty's don't mix well. The stainless steel threads on the iAtty can do a lot of damage to the 4in1 cap if you're not careful. It will start stripping it out and it won't be able to hold the iAtty anymore.

Ask para about trying to fix the threads. I don't think they will make replacements for those.

Will be glad if an oring fixes the leaking - will just not use w/ my iatty until I figure a better solution. mail1.jpgPicture 2.jpg

My problem child is the one on the left.

Thanks for your advice all.

?? Will try to exhaust my options first as it may just be a design issue. Worst case I'll find another solution for juice feeding. I'm strangely attached to this old less than perfect GG and am kind of obsessed with making it beautiful and perfect again.

Also forgive the disgusting look of my top cap. Although it leaks (hence the nasty photo) I'm vaping it. Just can't keep my hands off of it.

I have an iAtty which I bought new. I replaced the original base with a new one, because the original destroyed everything it was attached to. The replacement seems to have a better fitting connection. I've used it with my UFS and Stealth cap, neither give me any trouble with the replacement.
They are available last time I looked.

the leaking will be solved by the o-rings. there should be 2 of them on the pin (screwed in from below) I believe they are 2mm x 1mm.

It sounds as though the threads have just been worn over time plus the iatty seems to have a slightly smaller threading to it. My iatty fits in all 3 of my 4-n1- top caps, but is a bit wobbly until fully seated. You can replace the threaded part of that cap, the trick is finding it I saw one in the classys a few weeks ago and tried to get it myself but was a minute to late :( Not sure that Imeo will have one or make another, but worst case scenario you can always unthred the threading (also from below) and take it to a machinist to have it reproduced.

Will wait a bit until my mod gets here (sold a bunch of my stuff yesterday and am down to 2) then get serious. Was hoping that I could remove it and come up w/ some kind of replacement from a newer GG part but doesn't seem as though that's the case. Wondering since the attys seem to sit ok there if I could replace the o-ring to get it to stop leaking and start on a mission to find an afs as a more "age appropriate" match.
