Finally got all the parts in for the hybrid. I'll start packing tonight and will be shipping some tomorrow. Thank you all for the patience and support. Here are some pictures of the Polished version. The matte is also much better finish. I'll update the site with more pictures and videos. Thanks everyone
+1 I vote for this for me as well. The serial number with the logo looks good on the bottom cap. Can't wait to see what number I end up getting.

The fit and finish I didn't compare to things twice the price as that wouldn't be fair so while it is nice be mindful of the context which is it's price range.
I set it up simple with 325 mesh and 4 wraps of 30g Kanthal as I am not a big genny user so I don't have ss rope or whatever the hot new item is hanging around.
So all in all it's a hell of a mod for 124.99. The atty is a huge improvement and the mod itself is pretty nice. I bought this over a pure (I actually had the chance to buy one right around when this pre-order opened up) and I don't regret it. It's a bit more versatile and I like steel things.
Also, if the new version of the atty has the same design, it's going to be a steal at 30-40 bucks.
edit: I would also like to mention that Rich took a lot of the suggestions people made in the atty thread and applied them here. I have nothing but respect for that and working to get decent stuff out at a price most folks can attain it at.
Pros
- Threading and build quality is nice
- Finish on mine is even and has that nice feel the atty did before it
- Free drip tips are always good
- The button is pretty nice though I thought it would be horrible before I put the battery in
- Stands unlocked without firing
- The atty is exactly what I like, single coil and with a post/screw for the positive. It's an easy set up
- The reduced chamber does it's job, you get lots of vapor/flavor even at a low wattage
- The contacts also do their job, she puts out
- Cap fit is nice, also the raised deck wall seemed to solve the juice leaking issue.
- Works with a kick 2 just fine
Cons
- The lock ring was not the smoothest out of the box, two minutes of locking and unlocking and it's fine. Probably not going to be an issue with polished ones, I've had the same thing on matte mods twice the price.
- The lock ring is big. Not a big deal but I am nitpicking so deal with it.
- The logo and serial on the button are not looking like they will last too long
- Would have liked a kick ring/18500 extension to all 18500's along and kick's with 18350's or 18650's
- That's all I got

My Hybrid also arrived today so i did a clean and made a new coil
a few issues arose as i assembled it
1. the screw on the top post is lopsided.(picture attached) honestly this is the 1st time i have ever seen one so i assume they are very cheaply made, not an issue as i have lots of spares.
2. the top o-ring was broken, a spare was in the box so not an much of an issue but i would like a replacement sent for both these
3. as mentioned above the lock ring was a little sticky but it has gotten better with use
4. with the lock ring up the unit is pretty wobbly, just something to watch. it is fine with the lock ring down very sturdy
5. the air hole seems a little low, hopefully it doesn't weep
6. the button post seems quite close to the battery but luckily there was a washer underneath it so after i removed it it seemed better (more button action now)
7. i didnt get a lil richy drip tip
8. with a kick2 installed i could only use it with a 18490 battery. i would have liked to see a 18350+kick2 setup.
i have seen some concerns about the coil possibly touching the top cap since its concave inside. after i coiled i looked inside and there is plenty of room. my coil was above the center post screw, and still had a few mm of clearance.
the unit does hit hard, very nice flavor and vapor

Just a quick reminder. The drip tip is in the package bubble mailer and not in the box. Don't want anyone throwing it in the trash.
Well, finally arrived yesterday.. Gotta love getting new stuff in memphis on saturday just to sit waiting on the holiday to be over. Gotta say though, I love it. The new top cap is great, i'm loving the reduced chamber. As far as the lock ring, mine was smooth out of the box. Maybe rich played with it for me. Also, thanks for the SN! This thing works great, i like the adjustable pin and haven't had any trouble using flat or button top 18350s. Although the button seem to work better for some reason. Looks great in the polished finish, Overall I'm loving it.
Size is great too in 18350.. side by side to the nem w/richman.

Well I'm pretty bummed right about now. My package was sent and USPS had my delivery date for 9/3 but nothing. So OK it'll be here today, right. Well no not right, still no Hybrid. In fact the tracking still shows it in Honolulu with no updates since 8/31.
I guess I'll just look at the pics you all post.

Stamps.com gets stuck sometimes, go to the usps website and put in the tracking info. I've had stuff show up in the mail even though stamps shows in it zimbabwe or some crap. You may see a big difference in the two tracking updates

I did go to the USPS site and thats where it did show me that it still in Honolulu since the 31st. Funny thing is that mine should be coming to the Memphis area as well. At least I hope it does. I used to live in Hawaii and this was all to common for mail delivery to and from the Islands. But at the same time I receive packages from Washington state in two days all the time. Go figure. Unles slow boat is used they still need to fly it to the west coast at least.
