I was really starting to dislike ss mesh RBAs until today when I finally made my first successful coil. I have never had any problems with silica which made mesh piss me off until today. I did a 2/3 wrap with 28 gauge measuring .8 ohms started with a short then realized the post had too much movement loosened up the body got it nice and tight and now I am in love. also bought some new juice and it was tasting dry but smoking with the cap off.I had to try the juice in a fresh silica wick on a different RBA to realize it really was the juice. I took the juice out and put new GOOD juice in and now it tastes and vapes amazing. I'm loving this RBA.

Made a quick mod to mine today, I don't know if anyone else has done this. The juices I vape spill out if I don't seal the fill hole with the ph screw. It was irritating having to pull out a screwdriver to refill so this is what I did to make it similar to the RSST.

thats a good idea, i panic at the thought of losing mine and carrying a screwdriver is eh.
the spare parts bag included a silica post screw but not a phil hole screw.. it looks like a pretty standard size though.. probably could pull a replacement from a computer. also i used the spare o ring to wrap at the flush base for the cap so the air hole is elevated slightly without a gap

im on day 5 with my richman and its still awesome.

I am currently working on the hybrid. Then shortly after that the polished RBA/hybrid will be available. :vapor:

ETA is roughly Aug. Maybe earlier. I am really trying to push as many finishes as possible.

Great looking atty! I read that different finishes will be offered. Any guestimate on a time frame for brushed/polished? I'm looking forward to adding a couple of these to my collection. Thanks

R/M Genny : My User Review

Guys, this is the "full version" of the review that I intended to post in Richard's website, however had to shorten it due to site constraints.

Well, the "peanuts shipping" within the US is great -- but $12+ to Canada kept me thinking. Not long though, the "drool factor" caught up soon and I clicked the cart! And boy, did I do right? The R/M Genny sure looks Awesome at hand. Beautiful I must actually admit. And looks quite CLASSY.

The size is right, it's hues are contemporary and the logo is well embossed in a "watermark" shade... something I find much better -- it's not 'right at ur face'. The machining and overall finish of the Genny is superb... it kind of looks more expensive than what it's actually priced.

And yes, I see that it's internals are very Aga-T2 like. But with a better designed Centre Post - having larger Grub Nuts. It's also the same size (LxD) and weight as well, however, way more ATTRACTIVE.

The packaging was great. Richard ensured that his product will reach it's destination unharmed, unblemished. Besides the Genny being OEM packed in a nice & safe box he tripple-bubble-wrapped it and placed it inside a good sized bubble-envelope which was refolded over. I must applaud his deliberation in shipping. He also packed in two separate bags of Mesh & Kanthal, which were good sized... unlike what we are used to in an Aga-T2 or RSST packet. And keeping user tastes in consideration he sent in 400 as well as 500 Mesh... nice gesture there.

Setting up the R/M RBA was a breeze as well; I'm using it continuously since the last three days - and I must report that it's vaping immensely well... exactly as we expect a good Genny to do. As of now I'm more than satisfied with my purchase. And definitely RECOMMEND it to any vaper who's considering it.

Good work there Richard :)

UPDATE:

As observed by many earlier, the R/M Genny does "weep". It's perfect from every angle except one issue -- it's 'air hole' is definitely WRONGLY positioned. It vapes superbly well, gives out one of the most satisfying taste, thus I tend to 'chain vape' and then the 'air hole' "leaks". So very slightly, only while drawing frequently, but it does get 'moist' and ends up weeping.

Not something to get immensely perturbed with, but nevertheless an 'irritant' to the perfectionist. And like I said before, this Genny is perfect... thus this annoyance needs to be 'plugged'. There's a simple reason to this occurrence and thus, a simple fix as well. The air hole being so low on the top cap that it sits just over the deck. Which gets all the juice sprinkles, while being vaporized, and they eventually drip outward.

I'd request evosil98 to look into it asap and get the air hole lifted 2mm up from his next arriving batch. And if possible, send us the new top caps as a goodwill gesture. Wishful thinking though, but at least make it available as spares to purchase by anyone who wants to.

Once again, I'm yet vaping the R/M Genny and am well satisfied.

^That. I love this thing, but mine looks a bit beat up from moving and plugging the air hole. Perhaps a discount on a replacement cap or entire genny when v2 is released?

I love the thing, I just hated having to carry a paper towel in my pocket to wipe it off after a few vapes. he readjusted airhole position fixed this on mine, but I don't foresee too many people wanting to redrill and plug holes.

This fix significantly reduced the weeping of my R/M at the cost of a little aesthetics. I don't really mind that the cap doesn't sit flush, it's just nice not to have it leaving wet marks on my clothes. What are people's thoughts on placing the air hole on top of the cap midway through between the drip tip and the edge? Would this be able to produce decent vapor? I believe it's viable with the amount of deck space on the top cap, but I don't want to mess up the cap if it would be be difficult to get a replacement.
