Hi BigCloudz. You are more than welcome to ask and I, for one, am not offended at all. From my perspective down here: Started off on Janty Cleoros, then Vision Spinners, then Vamo and Protanks. My family laughed and ridiculed, so did my workmates. The many descriptions for the tubes and tanks are hard to believe. Then the Reo and RM2...and silence...either did not notice at all or not remarkable enough. And that I like!! That they perform like Vettel in a Red Bull is also great. As soon as you offer something comparable at a good price and you and your product have a good reputation, I'll be there.

PS: Great quotation that Justice, applies to so many things in life, I've saved it.

Good morning, BigCloudz :)

I actually had never even seen a Reo when I got my first one 3 years ago. Wasn't shopping for one. Didn't care about bottom feed or top feed or anything but something that looked and felt like a cig. My husband bought it. When he showed it to me, I was unimpressed....ugly box lookin thingy. What was this, another sad attempt at the whole carlos juice box or missy's wet box??? Remember those? No...I wasn't interested (nor was I interested in a huge tube mod.) He asked me to just give it a try....and to be honest, it took a few days. But I never gave it back, haven't looked back, and actually finally quit smoking after 6 months of screwing around trying this and that all while sneaking smokes every chance I could. It felt good in hand, it worked flawlessly, and it satisfied my severe lazy streak (vaping HAD to be easier than smoking.) I was so impressed by the little thing, I joined the ECF just so I could thank Rob personally.

Cost for me is irrelevant...I completely changed my habit and I no longer was inhaling burning tobacco as a result, something I really didn't think was possible. However, when I add up the cost of the equipment, the cost to design, the cost of labor, the cost of materials, and other costs of doing business, I have often found myself wondering why they aren't more expensive.

So, am I offended by your comments? No...you just don't get it. And that's okay, lots of people don't until they try it. Just like someone said, you either take the red pill or the blue pill. And to be fair, not everyone likes their Reo the first time around...most do, but not everyone. See, no one is telling you that you "need" to buy it, you don't. If you are smoke free and satisfied with your current gear, then there is no need to buy a Reo....the only reason we are so passionate about it is because it works so well for us and we as a group share this here with others who have spent hundreds, nay, thousands on vaping gear and yet, they are still looking for more. This is not hype...simply just a display of elation and satisfaction.

The community here is just bonus....a really great bonus. And many of us were just as stubborn and hard headed as I was 3 years ago when they came to ask these very same questions. :) Anyway, welcome...I hope you are finding the answers you are looking for.

To the guy insulting my intelligence, here's a quick homework assignment. Google "What is playing devils advocate". Kthanks

What is this some kind of cult? I ask questions in sincerity and get bombarded by with personal attacks and accusations.

I only read the first page, not even going onto the 2nd and 3rd as you guys snowball your hatred towards someone challenging the legitimacy of your almighty Reo.

And to the smart guy who said I could manufacture a Reo for $25, get a clue. No reason to get all bent out of shape because I stated simple facts (in which NO price was given, other than the $140 for the Reo).

I will continue doing my homework but I must admit that this group has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth about this so called cult...errr, community. lol

Enjoy your Reo's, and happy vaping.

For whatever reason there are a lot of people that believe all small(er) business owners are running a scam no matter what they do or say. If they are charging more for the same or similar product than a big company, it's automatically assumed the business owner is greedy and getting rich. A lot of people have no concept of operating cost, overhead, etc. They believe that after the cost of materials everything is 100% profit. That just ain't the way it works and it's why the great majority of small business fail within the first year or less.

There's no hype surrounding REOs. "Hype" suggests an inflated sense of value and performance. Our enthusiasm for REOs and RM2s isn't the least bit inflated or overstated.

Exactly. I asked what separated the Reo's from other mods and NOT ONE person could give my a better answer than "you got to try it". Sorry, I honestly think this Reo Cult (and that's exactly what it is) has this device extremely over hyped. A cheap aluminum box with a tacky finish, a clear tube and 2 magnets.

This thing isn't all that 'different' and believe me, I have seen PLENTY of folks talk trash on guys carrying around those awkward MVP's which look very similar to the Reos.

To each their own but I honesty am appalled by this group of people minus about 1 or 2.

Unless this is your first time on the internet, you should know that playing devil's advocate (admittedly or not) rarely plays out well in an internet forum.

I run a business that consists of 2 admins, 7 guys in the shop, and myself. I know ALL about how small business's work.

I am NOT saying the Reo owner is scam artist. I am saying that I find it extremely hard to believe that he can sell a block of milled aluminum for $140. I can't speak about the Woodvil's as I do not know schitt from my shoes in that industry, but I do know my industry. My shop rate is $65 an hour when I am quoting. I am building HIGH tolerance plastic injection molds out of expensive s-7, h-13, and 420 SS.

Guess I am in the wrong industry.

:?: :( When one plays the devil's advocate, one must be prepared to receive a little resistance. But it's too bad you didn't read the rest of the replies, as they were all legitimate thoughtful answers to your questions. Now that you have allowed yourself to be riled up, I'm afraid that is what you came here looking for. No one called you names or called you stupid. I dare you to take your exact same post about another device to another popular gear forum here and see what kind of reception you get. I actually enjoy it when someone feisty comes here to find out what the hype is all about, because generally as a group, we welcome you, regardless of your opinions. I'm closing this thread before this escalates.
