Today, my best friend, who's been through with me through thick and thin in the war against the ban on the e-cig, my dear friend, Ol' Sparky, passed away in a final plume of vape that would have made even his papa atomizer proud.

Ol' Sparky was my original atomizer that was shipped in my Sophomore (DSE103) kit over a month and a half ago. Sparky made many vaping videos and in his last appearance, appeared in a part comedy, part drama video.

Ol' Sparky started to feel a bit ill yesterday and today, after exhaustive resesitative efforts, could not be revived. Sparky was briefly revived yesterday, but the metalic taste and the rapid loss of vapor stated otherwise.

Good bye, ol' pal. It's been a great month and three weeks. His video performances and vapor will be missed.

I'm sorry for your loss BigJim, sparky was what so so many atomizers try to be, but so few achieve. He touched so many, and inspired so many more, the strike clan send their deepest sympathy to you and yours at this grievous moment and are prepared to bring 5 gallons of potato salad to the wake, sparky woulda wanted it that way.

Oh, and THAT mamby-pamby bit of food on that Titanic like pristine plate? That would be an appetizer. :D Try beef stew. You only need a crock pot, this

Damn BigJim!!.......You sure are eatin' better then me...Must have had a pretty good insurance policy on Ol' Sparky!!:)The Wiz!

Well, actually, with all the money saved from analogs, not only can you keep your supply of juice and accessories on hand, but you actually save money to get the good steaks once in awhile. :thumb:

I miss Ol' Sparky.

My condolences, Jim.

What IS the average life expectancy of atomizers, anyway? I have a penstyle and mine are doing OK about a month and a half in.

Well, it depends on various things. Most say about a month or so, but it depends on how to take care of them, nurse them, let them sleep in your bed, build amusement parks for them...

Oh, atomizers. :D About a month average. But some have died within days, some are vaping strong for months with the same one. Mine lasted 7 weeks, so that's not bad considering they're about $7.99 each. And as I have 7 spares, I should be good for a few more good vapes.

Lots of tips on cleaning and maintenance of atomizers to be found here. But not in this particular thread. 8-o
