I puchased my Riva's shortly before I got my e-go and all of my Riva's have died already so I am assuming that they have a shorter life than my e-go's do. I am just curious if anybody else has experienced this. I have had them for a while now but I don't think I have had them for a year so I won't be ordering or recommending the purchase of Riva's over e-go's!:confused:

Out of 6 I've ordered since Feb. I've gotten 2 w/ crazy buttons and one go scary hot on me. Two work great, but w/ a fail rate of 50%- I've taken them out of commission and have switched to Joye eGo's for the past month.

I now use a Joye eGo-t and a Passthrough mostly. With a BogeLR 2.0 on them, I've gotten used to the slightly cooler hit pretty easily.

I've purchased 6 Rivas this year. One died after about 6 months, possibly due to a shorted atty. Another died within a week and was replaced by LF under warranty. All the rest are going strong. The one eGo kit I bought, I had one battery die after 5-6 months.

I think the quality of the Riva is comparable to the eGo. I do give the eGo higher marks for finnish durability.

My first bigger battery PV was a Riva from LF about 9 months ago. Both batteries still work but I can tell that they don't last as long as they used to before needing to be charged again. I also have 4 650 mAh eGo and 1 900 mAh eGo batteries of various ages and they are all still working well. I'm not sure if the Riva batts are the same as the ones sold 9 months ago or not.

I think my batteries are lasting a long time because I rotate them. I use 2 for a day then they go on the charger then to the bottom of the rotation. I know that is not reasonable for everyone but I'm just sharing what is working for me.

I think in general that battery life and reliability are relative to use and care. I clean mine each time they go on the charger and any time I notice juice in the connector. While the batteries are sealed, juice and condensation build up can have an effect on performance and charging.

There will always be a few duds from the factory but I never worry about anything I buy from LF. I have never gotten a bad product from LF and I know they stand behind the stuff they sell.
