Been ordering the 36 mg Nic / VG base just because I was not comfortable ordering the 100 % Nic . I wanted to develop some good habits with the handling of the products since this was my first few times working with these products. But now I am seriously thinking of going to 100mg Nic base for the huge cost savings. My question then .. is the cost the only real reason to switch to the 100mg Nic ? no other advantages from doing this ?

Thank You,

Steve -

First things first. You are a bit confused. Discussions of 100% nicotine are not allowed on ECF and I do not think you mean %.

36mg/ml nicotine is approximately 3.6% nicotine. 100mg/ml nicotine is approximately 10% nicotine.

As for using 100mg/ml nicotine, there are a number of reasons, but none of them are truly compelling. I use it because I can triple check my nicotine level in my final batch in my head when I'm using 100mg/ml. Usually 50 to 60mg/ml is actually the least expensive option when calculating costs correctly, not 100mg/ml.

And as steved5600 pointed out, it does take up less room.

Is it worth the extra safety precautions when handling and storing? That depends on you and the environment you store & mix in. (If I had small children, I would be much less likely to be using 100mg/ml nicotine as an example. My youngest turns 20 in a few months so I don't have that concern.)

You have enough posts, so please feel free to ask questions in the DIY sub anytime. They tend to be a friendly bunch. DIY E-Liquid
