My favorite is permatex ultra but it is a shame to buy it for a few drops.
Better to find a friend w/ some left overs:)

My Roughstack mod involved using a pair of pliers to close the top loop of the spring by about 33%. Mine has worked flawlessly since that modification.

I intentionally bought the tumbled finish and wouldn't want mine polished.

I can see how that would work. The spring diameter is a bit large compared to the pin it must contact.

i just recieved my RS today and am charging the battery and can't wait to use it amd was reading this thread am don't know what you people are talking about. Does thIs this mod have a flaw or something not right, i'll send it back. I wonder if everything i buy is junk, might as well go back to the real thing, a real cigarett

RS is a very simple design and is very user serviceable.
If you are messy w/ your liquids they may leak inside unless you apply a gasket sealer.
Aluminum threads on any mod should have a lubricant to avoid galling.
The switch itself is good and is rated at 3 amps; higher than many PVs.
There is a spring contact between switch assembly and center post of atty connector.
If spring is not making firm contact then vapor production may be off.
There are a few ways to improve the spring contact.
I understand the 4.8 v batt w/ dual coil is very good.
I still like RS and mine is performing well.

Never mind the poor vapor, just put a boge 2.0 from CCV and it's like a chimney.

I found 2ohm at 3.7v to be my sweet spot

Seems only a few have this issue. A 1min mod to my spring made sure it will not bother me. The roughstack is far from junk, and half the price of their closest competition.

Hi there

Just got my RS v2 and the vapor production as you say is kind of poor. I bough it used and batteries are new from Madvapes 18350 1200mah.

Do you think I should take a look at the switch ? The "yellow thingy" with the soldering .... how I remove that? just pull it out ?
thanks

The center atty connector pin is held in place w/ rubber insulator.
It pops right out so you can solder a wire to it.
I replaced small spring w/ wire and it hits like a champ.

Others just crimped spring end for better contact.

I've heard the switch metal top is pressed on.
Nope.
The metal top is crimped on lip of black plastic bottom.
Not easy to disassemble switch but it's possible.
I had to cut slits in metal top to remove.

I've heard the switch is sealed.
It is not sealed at all.

My dissected switch was remarkably clean; minimal oxidation and gunk inside.
I cleaned contacts and reassembled and it's working fine.

In the future I will not disassemble switch to clean.
Since it is not sealed I will clean by soaking in favorite solvent.
Maybe even use my ultrasonic.
