Busardo Review of the RSST: A PBusardo Review - Smoktech RSST Genesis Atomizer

Concerns not mentioned by Busardo:

Not much of a seal between the top of the polypropylene tank and the deck/top plate. Potential for leakage in the future.

Threading issues.

In view of the fact that these poly tanks are easily attacked by ISO Prop, I have reservations about nicotine and flavor dissolution.

send them an e-mail and ask for a special request....

or i order them all and sell on the classifieds with a markup.....

Nah. I can wait. It's not like I'm in bad need of an RSST. I just want one for a toy. They'll be available here eventually.

The 510 connector on mine was a little long... So I filed it down a little. No biggie. The threads themselves seem to be all good.

The only issue I've had... The bottom insulator, in the 510 connector, wasn't making good contact with the outer walls, which made it next to impossible to remove the center pin... It would just spin in place without unthreading...

Another easy fix... Once I finally got it apart, I glued the bottom insulator into the 510 with a single drop of red Loctite.

Been using the RSST for a solid week ....cant say enough good things about it....i do hope a glass tank becomes available...regardless...its been holding its 1.9 steady which tells me no grounding issues....cant say that about my agat...

If you want to check your agat for grounding issues put a stainless drip tip on it without the oring...fire it with the tip on your lips and see if you get a slight charge...bet there are folks that have this problem and dont even know..its not a big deal but it can cause your resistance to fluctuate.

My ZAP (just cleaned & rebuilt) with installed ceramic wick varies resistance by as much as .2 ohms through out the day it always has since the day I received it, irrespective of what type of wicks utilized. And so do my AGA-T2s.

Explain!

heat expands metal, when the size of the kanthal changes, so does its resistance....

when you are checking resistance, make sure your atty is cool, to keep the ohms a bit more even.
you cant check an ice cold coil, go back, then check t again when it is really hot.... you will never get consistent results.

0.2 is nothing.

coils have always been known to increase ever so slightly over is life cycle... this is nothing new.
start off with a 1.5 atty, end up with a 1.8-1.9 atty before it craps out.

Almost done. Wire gauge also has a bearing in respect to these extremities. The luxury of an eVic which polls the impedance every 2 seconds displayed LIVE on a screen gives it to me play by play ... and why I only get as little as .2 ohms variance.

I just ordered the rsst from captivapes. Good price ($30)and for $2.50 you can get your air hole modified to whatever dimension you want. I went ahead and had mine modified to 1.3mm. They also throw in a free juice sample if you want. The tank is Polyprop and it isn't known to break down like polycarb. My carto tanks are PP and I never had any problem with them.

Reasonable shipping $3.50 I've never ordered from this site before.. hope it turns out OK
