Finally, I am vaping my R91% V2. My current coil is at 1.7ohm and holding steady on my SiD. After only a few draws, I can see that 18mg is way too strong. The flavor is great, just a hair off from dripping. Vapor production is good though, not as thick as I had hoped. That may be due to the fact that I cannot take as large of a hit as I would like. Throat hit is killer with 18mg. After I finish off this tank full, I will be trying 12mg. However, it may take a few days to finish this tank. I am already over niced after a dozen draws in the last 10 or so minutes :vapor:

Same. I'm able to get a stable reading after tightening everything up. Still a bit disappointed that this issue wasn't addressed... killer vape/performance, though. I also purchased through MBV.

I have the v1 and it's awesome as well. This is my second Russian. I love 'em. I'm actually in on a group buy for the new black version they're coming out with, so I was a bit nervous with this issue at first. Now that I know it can be fixed with some tinkering, I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully they resolve this for future batches. Cheers. =)

Just got my 91 ..... Lol at buying this expensive turd, I have an ehpro kfl+ clone that works flawlessly. I decide that this Russian would be a higher quality device. I can build micro coils with the best of them... Resistance jumping all over most expensive mistake I have made since buying a laser disc player( if your old enough you remember those giant things the size of a record) anyway the r 91 is a polished turd( actually it's a matte finish, but let's not split hairs here)

Thank you.

I emailed kebo about what they are going to do about the black russian floating pin and got a response within 30 minutes!

They said they are "shipping the black russians with the two peice v1 pin and are working on improving the quality and consistency of the new pin and connection on of the spring pin as we speak. The will be posting on their Facebook page info shortly."

English was a little "broken" but you get the point.

whoops! No go! The KFL rebuilt kit from Fast Daddy with the 2 piece center post (1 little screw, 1 big screw/post) doesn't work in the R91. The big screw is too long. When installed the threads protrude through the block way to far even before the block starts to get tight.

Here's a pic. On the left is the original, on the right the one from the FD kit. I even tried reversing the delrin insulator to take up more space and it was still too long.

That sucks Mike. I had hope. I am stuck with 2 of these pieces of garbage. Probably be awhile but there are enough of these junkers that have been sold that some smart vendor will sell the fix kits from Kebo.

Yea other than the $8 rebuild kits from FD the only other options were just the 2 screws for around $26-28 plus shipping from a couple other vendors. That's pricey for a couple screws.

Looks to be about 4 or 5 threads shy of a fit. And the cross-cut airhole is a bit lower on the shaft. I wonder if a die could be used to add some threads (pic seems to show a bit of a taper after the threads, though)?

Yes there ever so much a small taper at the end of the threads. Like on a carriage bolt were the threads stop before the smooth shaft of the bolt.

And yes again - the air hole on the FD is just past the delrin collar. Ya know - I didn't even pay attention to that until you mentioned it. I had hopes this was going to be an inexpensive fix. NOT!

I have been messing with my new R91 for a couple days now. I was shooting for a 1.5 ohm build. I put it on my little plastic ohm meter and the resistance was over double and floating around. I then put it on my VTR and the resistance was still higher than it should have been. Pulsed it a couple of times and the resistance settled at 1.6 ohm then stayed rock solid. Seems each time I removed and reinstalled I had to do this. Not a good thing from an expensive atty but usable. Hopefully they come up with a fix.

What a Bummer... The 91 is one of my favorite attys, and it is such a letdown to hear all the negative feedback on the v2. It took forever to get my hands on the 91 I have now (ugggh!!! The wait on those pre-orders from UCT!!!), and I had high hopes for the new version. Oh well... at least it did raise the bar for the replicated Kayfuns out now, right? Now, the search is on for a 91 v1 at a reasonable price. Lol

I almost thought I had a work-about to make it at least stable. But nope.

I reversed the delrin insulator thinking I could make the pin stick out further from the bottom of the threads. Then when screwed to the PV it would force the pin to bottom out. The concept worked. It also allowed me to really make it tight to the block. I was encouraged because my 6Ω coil showed as .8Ω on my little black box tester and held steady, even after repeatedly unscrewing it and putting it back on the tester.

Prior use of the box to test it and the ohms were constantly changing from 1.7-4.3-2.4-5.2-1.8-etc-etc.

Encouraged I put it all back together, filled it up, and vaped a little while. Took it off, tested ohms - oh poop! 1.5. Then repeated the off/on/test cycle and the ohms were all over the place again.

Almost threw this thing in the trash. Instead I came here and vented.
