So right now, the best budget deals are the Koopor Plus 200w mod and the Wismec RX200 200w mod (the cheap one).

For me, safety is the biggest priority.

I think short-protection, heat protection, battery reversal recognition, ect ect are all worth it. Are either mods lacking in these features?

Second, the RX200 has a blow-up story, and word among serious builders is that it has some weak wire, causing the common hot-mod complaint among its users right now, something that "may" also have led to the blow-up.

I believe I'll be using the mod around 80w-120w for the TFV4 Mini.

Does anyone have any knowledable input about that story?

Finally, if I could go with the Koopor Plus, I'd rather do that, as it's MUCH cheaper on me to only buy two new married batteries rather than 3 or commonly 4, plus a new charger on top of that (I only have a dual slot atm). However, I'm concerned that at TFV4 wattages, that two batteries wouldn't last but a couple hours at best... I would bet the triple batteries on the RX do make a longevity difference, but does anyone have an opinion on if it's THAT much better?

Thank you!

I'll be watching this thread. I'm interested in the same two mods, and have the same questions. Also, the Fuchai 200W seems to be in this same class.

The Rx200 (cheap not needed as the other is dna 200 and no rx moniker) but bang for the buck, I love mine. There has still been much debate over the blow up story as to the cause. Common to most every version of the story I saw was they were mismatched batts, but other than that all stories varied. I use mine in Tc mode typically with ni wire. I run 50-60w and between 450 and 520f. I have had no issues and get much better battery life than my ipv3li. I get 2 days with pretty heavy vaping, 3 if I alternate mods. Ymmv and the batteries will affect longevity. Just my 2 cents, and the other mods listed look nice too. Gl.

So someone was using some of those 35 amp Efests in their RX200 which actually are 10 amp CDR batteries?
Had not heard about that "blowup".
From what I heard they were mxjo not efest. If you are interested it is discussed it the thread here but can't remember where.

No contest, RX200. Lighter, much more ergonomic in the hand, firmware upgrades by user, better quality of construction. I tried 2 Koopor Plus Size, both failed stainless steel temp control test with cotton bursting into flame with both dry and wet wicks, and had other issues with jumping out of TC and fire button not working sometimes. After returning the second one, went with the RX200 and it's just better in every way. Everything works, and have had zero problems. And the RX is much more "stable on the table" for a stay at home mod, I kept tipping the Plus Size over as it is tall with a small foot print. Didn't do any real testing on battery life, but the RX sure seems to go longer between recharges.

Why don't you think of smok Xcube160?
RX200 has this sad history.
Koopor 200 mulfunctions and with 2 batteries has an 160W limit
At almost the same price, Xcube2 works much better than the koopor.
What sad history has the rx200?

As far as I can tell, there is one that had the battery(ies) vent causing an explosion, apparently due to bad battery/user error. As far as sad histories go, the Xcube could be the poster child...
Yeah, that was what I was expecting to be the "sad history". One incident, which we really don't know anything about. Too many conflicting stories.

You can have my xBrick real cheap.
The BT connectivity worked (barely, and I tried multiple devices) just long enough to purchase the wire upgrades. Now it's reverted, borked and no BT.

The Kooper must be upgraded/updated BY A VENDOR? Seriously?

The RX incident (singular) was a venting with partial meltdown of the sled. Reliable details are sparse, even from one of the parties involved. But for the rest of us... so far, so good. TCR Adjust soon as well... we hope.

I just bought the Smok Koopor plus 200W yesterday. So far, so good. I bought two new batteries to marry and use together. They were out of Sony VCT and Samsung 25R, so I took the new Efest 3000mah flat top high drain.

The purple Efest gets bad press, but I've used a pair of the so called 35A older Efests for a couple of years without issues. They've been as good as my aging AW 2250mah batts. No complaints from either.

I'm a 10W vaper, so maybe I'm not stressing batteries to their breaking point. I buy the heavy duty VV mods and tootle puff on them.

At 10w you'll be good, but the problem with efest is that you really can't know what they're capable of. They're kinda like ultrafire batteries in that regard.

Maybe so, but genuine Efests get good press in the tests. They've been counterfeited so much that there are QR scan stickers on each battery now that can be verified to discourage counterfeiting, along with a 20 digit code to enter at their website. Both of the ones I bought show valid codes at EfestPower.com.

There are bad batteries all over. Some are better than others. We'll see how these perform.

It's a 20A CDR cell. I don't know why Efest has to advertise them incorrectly.
Efest Purple 35A 3000mAh 18650 Bench Test Results...only a 20A battery, equal to HG2 and 30Q though
