Chopper, I ordered a Black Vmax and a VV Gripper last week with one small bottle of each of your Grumpy's juices (my lawyers will be in touch after they're finished with Disney. My nickname has been grumpy since I learned not to smile. I EARNED that nickname) and the first one I tried was Old #4 today. I must say, that's some mighty fine juice. Can't wait to try the rest and if I can scrounge up the $ before the 31st I'll pick up another VMax and VV Gripper. I LOVE THOSE machines. I ABSOLUTELY PLEDGE my love to those sale prices!!! Thanks Chopper. The old signs used to say: "Price, Quality, Service. Pick any two. Well, you got all three. There's only a few of you Vape Vendors out there that actually get it right. Now I found enough for all the fingers on one hand and you're the Thumb. Thumb's up.

I guess we are Siamese Grumpy twins split at birth lol.Thank you for the very much appreciated thumbs up,sure beats the middle one any day lol.Wait until you try the Grumpy's Hooch that stuff is amazingly good. It's from what I understand is becoming the most popular juice in France and working its way into the UK.That is not coming from me but from buyers from those places.I will be working on a wooden version of the Gripper soon as I get my wood blanks in.It will be all made by me and it is a VV device.I have one pattern that I have to cut out over the weekend to make the very first one. These will have numbers on them inside of the battery compartment.Of course all of this will depend on the first one turns out.I would sell them at a very affordable price, nothing near the wooden mods that are out now.I will keep the thread updated as progress rolls along.I love the Vmax and the power it puts out. With a Atom Bomb on top of that bad boy its a killer combo. All in all thank you for the kind words it makes all the bad worth it.

I gots some of da choppers stuff ordered. Including but not limited to the Atom.

I have a question about the "jack frost" method

The way I understand it. You just burn the mesh unrolled. Roll it up. Burn in the rolled state (or not?). And your good to go. Almost all of the video's that reference this wick mod. Are doing it either with the wick rolled up: quenching, boiling and such. I do understand both the cotton and rolling paper are just addressing the coil area of the wick. I understand coil mods are separate and apart from the "Jack frost".

Are these assumptions correct?

Is there separate video of just the jack frost for the screen?

Why would anything lower than the coil need treatment as long as the coil / wick area is properly non-conductive?

Should the wick squeeze: rest upon: or barely lay upon the wick?

Do the number of wraps around the post (not the wick) have an effect?

The way I did my Cotton on mine was a LIGHT coating under the area where the wire goes. The same way I did the paper method, but after doing both the Cotton method is MUCH MUCH BETTER, lol. I did the burn all the way before and after rolling cause I wanted too. Don't know if it makes a difference. I've tried several methods and this is BY FAR the best for me because my juice is a little on the sweet side and the cotton made the sweetness POP for sure.

Yes just torch the mesh before rolling then after you test the wick far as it fitting in the wick hole.I cut a 45 degree angle on the bottom of the wick so it does not have the chance to rest on the bottom of the tank.I then torch the rolled wick to make it stiffer for wrapping purposes.I then insert the wick and run about 3 wraps clockwise around the negative post. Then I wrap my wick to where you see 4 wraps on one side of the wick and 3 on the other side. When I get to wrapping the positive post I wrap it around counter clockwise while holding the wick straight with another finger. You will want to make sure the wraps around the post are good and tight to get the best connection to the post and pre-vent any hot spots.I have no idea if not torching the whole piece of mesh makes any difference or not as I've not tried that.So maybe someone else will chime in on that one.You don't want the wrap to hug tight around the wick, just enough to where the wick can slide up or down but the wraps still touching the wick.I hope this makes sense how I have explained it.If not please let me know and we can go from there. Here is the vapor production from my Atom Bomb on a Vmax that I just did earlier.

No worries about the kind words. Like I said there are VERY FEW of you out there. By YOU I mean family guys working out of their homes to build an internet vaping business and actually adhering to the logical principle, without customers, there is no business. EVERYBODY out there in the vaping biz is selling almost the exact same things. It's prices of course, but right there with prices are how customers are treated after a sale has been made. The business owner standing behind their products, even the ones they bought from some faceless person in China. Stand behind what you sell, treat the customer with respect and offer a fair price. There are way too many BIG GUYS out there who, even in their forums, talk down to their customers or possible customers.
Granted our dealings are extremely limited but reading and watching I can tell you give a crap. By all means make a wood Gripper. Myself I have a personal limit $ wise when it comes to a PV. If it's in my range, there is a GOOD chance I'll get one. I am a hoarder when it comes to PV's and equipment. I have quite a few RBA's and over this winter, my off season, I will sit and start learning. The Atom Bomb is on my list when the funds are there if only because I am curious about it's origins. When someone takes a product and improves upon it, I am intrigued. When they take TWO products, I am Sherlock Holmes on a rampage.
I will only mention first names because I respect the forums guidelines. That brings me to my apology. I forgot to leave out my signature the last posts. I try to remember whenever I go to someone's site that sells equipment to not use that one and when I am on a juice site I try not to use my fave juice signature.
I am by no means a BIG GUY when it comes to spending, but since I quit smoking my ex-g'friend just told me I am about 5k in the hole when it comes to cigarette savings. I am careful where my money goes. Chopper you have Joined Norm "Tully Mars" Tanner's elite so now there's 5. (Got one hell of an ego don't I?) Eric, Carole(with an E), Angela and a guy I call Mave cause I don't know his name just his rep. That's where my equipment $ goes. UNLESS there's a sale so good that I will not insult you guys by asking you to match it. (That is how I found you. Damn those prices on the vmax and Gripper kicked and are still kickin .....) I'm scrounging pennies before the 31st.
You mentioned in a PM to me about your "situation". We are in almost the exact same boat. I just don't have a biz. My step family does and I work for them for now. I mentioned to Eric a while back. It's folks like you that inspire folks like me and others. You guys are building the American Dream. You found a niche, the products and a way to reach the people that want/need those products. You guys cleaned out a closet, room, garage, basement or whatever. You put hard earned money out to take a chance on something you believe in and you remember what it's going to take to keep building that dream. RESPECTING the people that are sending YOU their hard earned money. Never forget "YOU NEED THEM MORE THAN THEY NEED YOU" and you'll be fine.
This is turning into a novella and I am sorry for rambling. I gotta go. Sorry I blabbed so long.

No need to leave off your Discount Vapers banner Eric and myself have been friends for over a year now.I was his modder and supplier for the GoGo tanks. You can post freely on my thread about anything. The only thing I've ever asked from posters is if they had bought something from me and have an issue with a order or the product to PM me and not post that openly as its a private business matter.Other then that post away my friend lol.I do my best to make sure I take care of my customers.Yes I have had some not so happy as there is not one vendor who is negative free.If I am aware of a issue I will try to resolve it,but then you have times when you don't hear about any problem until after there is something negative said about the item/items or even the supplier. Its just my belief to give the vendor/supplier a chance to make it right for the customer.Everyone has the right to be upset if they are not happy, buts its not the end of the world and things can be worked out if given a fair chance.Nothing made is full proof or perfect if so then things would not come with upgrades or someone would not try to come out with something better.I know the value of a dollar and in today's economy I know people are even more careful on how they spend. If I can't back up my sales and do my best to make that customer happy.I would rather have no business at all.You are very right we as vendors need the customer more then they need us.I've had negative things said about my products and myself that I will not try to even hide.If I was to only have had 10 sales and 9 of them had bad things to say but the one was very happy.Well that makes all the bad worth it even though the 9 would hurt the business.I'm not in this to make money of course making money is good as it helps support my family and that's why I'm here is for my family.I'm disabled and did not work for 4 years due to injury which almost took my life.I was going crazy watching all the burden go to my wife working all the time soar and in pain from working all the time.I was watching the life slip from her eye's and that tore me up.So I started this little business so she could have a life again with her family and to keep me from losing what mind I had left.Customers do not get a look behind the scenes of a vendor/supplier and that's why I do post about set backs either with getting supply's late or health issues with myself.I don't hide anything and I consider customers family and you don't keep things from your family.I have values and will stand behind them business or not.Thank you again Tully for your words and you are always welcomed to this family take care.
