Chopper, I just would like a rough estimate of shipping time. I ordered a Defcon on 6/23. Do you think I will have it by the end of July? I am going away for 3 days the beginning of August. I would like it for then.

Oh yes definitely I have orders going out tomorrow and will be working my back side off this weekend on orders.

Thanks. I know you have alot on your plate, and I did not want to pressure you, but I really want to get familiar with it before I go on a three day vacation.
Also do you have any idea what the effects of nicotine has on blood sugar? I have to go for fasting blood work tomorrow and was wondering if I could vape on my way.

I have seen where Diabetics can only use certain juices because of sweeteners that are used.

Vape away. Nicotine won't affect your blood sugar or any other lab value.....can increase heart rate and blood pressure though in hi doses.

PG and VG are glycols which technically are a carbohydrate. Carbohydrate digestion does start in the mouth however the small amount that we vape shouldn't have an impact on blood sugar. The sweetners shouldn't be any concern because even if plain sugar was used it still wouldn't be in enough quantity to make a difference. A bite of potato will give you more carbohydrate than a days worth of vaping.

FWIW, nicotine inhibits tissue growth. I'm about to have back surgery and the surgeons made it perfectly clear no nicotine. I was very up front about vaping and pg/vg and the whole deal so there are no surprises. So anybody going to have a surgical procedure that will require tissue growth or repair after the procedure, cut your nic down 90 days prior to the procedure.

Still loving my Defcon!

Just curious, does the metal come off the "innards" in the body?
I haven't tried, no reason too yet, it just looks as if it should.

And I'm certain it's been posted somewhere, but I'm lazy.... what is inside, glass or poly?

It will but do it at your own risk.

Good morning all, hope we all had a safe holiday. I have some info I would like to share w everyone. As you may or may not of noticed I've not been around here as much lately as I was back in the day, If you will. Anybody using a genesis type RBA needs to check out this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/284030-wick-materials-safe-vs-dangerous.html. I have been following this thread and actively taking part in the experimenting. After a couple weeks of messing around with everything except mesh, I've got to tell you mesh is so 2011. Cotton is the new deal. All the big boys of RBAs that have been making them since b4 they were commercially available, are exclusively using cotton, and now so am I. It has 5 times the wicking capability of mesh, its 1/20th the price, and you can get it at any walgreens or cvs etc.

Warning: This is not for everybody. I do not recommend you jump in with both feet if you are brand new to the RBA scene. Just like the whole RBA thing, cotton has its own learning curve. However it is so inexpensive that all you really have to lose is time. If you do check out that thread I would recommend starting about 3/4 of the way thru, as there are videos at about that point, which we had to practically beat out of them to make. But they made them and they are great. Cotton will literally double the wicking capability of your DefCon or Atom. Good luck, and happy Saturday.
