I already posted this question in other forums just tryin to get an answer

I also asked about this afew month ago and didnt get an answer so i try again

Intro

Well i ve been vaping in the past for like 5 years inconsistently some times dl some times mtl some othes i amback to tobacco

Topic

I tried lots of stuff what i finally came in terms to : is i need high nic concenteration nic salt liq here where i live are very expensive + lots of people here are skeptical of types of flavourings so i finally decided to start my own DIY

Problem 2 i cant get pure nic salt where i live only free base

So my first attempt comes as follows i prepared 600mg nicotine in 10ml vg to 10ml pg

Then added 770 mg citric acid the so i supposedly have 1to1 nic. To citric acid
And 30 mg /ml nic. Conc.

results after it completely dissolved was harsh

I tried 1 to .5 nic citric acid by molar mass reults were even more harsher

So where is the problem and how to make nic salt from free base?

Btw the freebase smelt strong and kinda peppery but was crystal clear so idk where the problem was

You're trying to convert freebase nic to salt nic? I never heard of that. I've only ever used freebase. Is that something you've seen talked about on vaping forums? I don't recall coming across it on this forum.

That citric acid thing is new to me. I know we have to be careful to ensure our PG and VG is the correct safe type. USP grade. Can you get citric acid in USP grade. Does it come in solution or as crystals.

I read your post and I was a bit confused. In places I couldn't tell whether you were talking about quantities or concentrations. You said you prepared 600mg nicotine, what concentration was the nic you started with? mg is weight. ml is volume, mg / ml is concentration. So 600mg nic, is that weight or what?
