Same Gauge wire different resistance?

Gets weirder i see 20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,36,38,40 when i hit your link.

OK... Getting Closer.

I checked the Cookies setting for Pure Atomist and Cookies were being Blocked.

When I turned them On, now it shows 20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,36,38,40.

I am just using a simple single wire wrap of it in TC. Would it not kick me out of TC if it was Nichrome 80?

Hard to say. It might not Kick you out of TC. Because the Resistance would never Increase to the Temp Limit Resistance.

It kinda depends on the mod.

If I was you, I'd contact Pure Atomist and ask them what is going on? And ask them what the Ohms/Foot is for their 28ga, 29ga and 30ga 316L

And ask them why Their Wire Isn't jiving with what Steam Engine says.

I've had odd wire from reputable vendors. I use only SS430 and NiFe52, both in 27 gauge.
I got some from a vendor that is talked up on forums, paid the extra for shipping from the UK.
When it arrived, it both was different resistance and did not perform in TC as it should. I had to find a good TCR number for the wire. The vendor swore that it was the exact alloy that I had ordered. Because it did not have the right properties, I insisted they refund my order. I had the same happen with a different US based vendor.

I now use only zivipf as they have never sold me anything that isn't the exact wire I ordered.
Life is too short and the expense is so small, why not get the best?

@ShowerHead Is there wire annealed and does it come clean like Temco?

I wasn't looking for bargain basement, I look for quality. I also don't buy premade coils, just wire.

Just say'n that it looks like they Peeled Off the OEM sticker that came on those FT Coils and Replaced it with their own. Then Jacked Up the Price about 4 Times what FT charges.
