Chris, I wanted to let you know I rec'd your Sapphire today and first - it arrived with barely a trace of liquid in the packaging/outside - just a nice, full atty, ready to attach to my Janty usb eGo. That's pretty damned impressive.
2nd, I love this juice, though it's not what I'd normally order. I mean LURVE it. Had you also vaped something maple-flavored, or does the crystal have that flavor to it?
And 3rd, clearly that means it's not giving any burnt taste, but more important, at least for right now it's not getting hot to the touch - just barely warm. That's a huge difference from what I was experiencing before (on the same battery). I'm going to hit it pretty hard today, and see what happens. If memory serves, mine were great out of the box, but within two hours or so were burnt tasting. (For whatever the heck this is worth, I've been paying attention to how I vape - I hold the button down for about 3 seconds, but continue to draw for about 2 more seconds, a good hit about every 3-5 minutes.)
But for right this moment, everything is pointing to having rec'd a bum batch - the main difference right off the bat being the lack of scorching heat at the connection - right now I'm literally vaping with my finger on the atty part, with barely any real warmth.

so its working like i said , good to hear. again no way for me to know what was going on a with the few who had issues since all of mine perform just like that, all of them. The new batches of sapphires have all been improved, more wick protruding, better ohm and the connector pin IS NOW sticking out for better connection.

the no juice in your bad is a testament to how leak proof they are, and thats the crystal your tasting, thats all i vaped in that one. and its one of my all time favs juice ever becuase of how simple it is.
yes you should be able to vape with your finger on it like we discussed without it getting to hot, naturally it will get warm there since that is where the coil is but it shouldnt get hot at all, nothing to wear your finger might burn, it should be warm to very warm depending how you vape, never hot unless your truly going apenuts with it.lolol

No lie, after a year of everything from carts, cartos, clearos, dripping, de-bridged dripping and heaven knows what else... this is the answer to ALL of my annoyances, concerns (solder just doesn't seem smart to inhale) and frustrations of vaping. All that's left is a tiny wish for different (maybe colored?) mouthpieces and something to cover the threads on my ego. (Or, maybe it's just time to bite the bullet and move to a decent stick style - the sapphire feels made for that.)
On top of all of that, I might have just found a new all day vape, assuming it'll be going back up on the site. I've already vaped half of this stuff (whoooooo, nic rush!) and will be sure to update on the awesome-ness that is sure to happen with the choco-strawberry.
Talk about a gamble that paid off, huh?

All that's left is a tiny wish for different (maybe colored?) mouthpieces and something to cover the threads on my ego. (Or, maybe it's just time to bite the bullet and move to a decent stick style - the sapphire feels made for that.)
On top of all of that, I might have just found a new all day vape, assuming it'll be going back up on the site. I've already vaped half of this stuff (whoooooo, nic rush!) and will be sure to update on the awesome-ness that is sure to happen with the choco-strawberry.

There are three things that I would like to see.
1) Stronger connection at the bottom of the tube. 3 out of my first four eventually came loose so that the tube would revolve around the wick holder and then start leaking.
2) A larger size, but not longer - thicker, 2.5mls would last me a good and night.
3) Why not a replacable wick system that would just screw into the bottom. Kind of like Gillette, the tube is the razor and the wick is the blade. Then you could offer different size tubes using the same wick holder.

we have the new covers and caps to cover your ego and the juices will be updated in a few days to the new signature series but i will turn on the crystal in a few hours since that is always in stock
Hey guys - just wanted to let you know that I've had exactly the same experience as shanagan. I'm using a standard 650mah Ego battery and coincidently the Gotvapes choc-strawberry juice.
I've tried 2 Sapphires so far. The first was fantastic for the first 1/2 tank. I thought I'd finally found vaping heaven! My only slight complaint at the time was that I prefer a slightly airier draw, but it's OK. I've tried all the suggestions to loosen the draw and I think it's just the way they are - I can live with that.
However, after the first 1/2 tank, I started to get a burnt taste. I'm on the second fill and the burnt taste remains. It's not a really nasty burnt taste like you get when an atty runs dry, so I suspect there's just some burnt juice on the coil. I am looking for a solution that I don't need to take apart and play with every day, so I haven't yet tried to clean it. It's still vapable (good vapour and th), but it's not very pleasant.
The second had a nasty taste from the start. It's not a taste I've experienced before - maybe it's glue or some kind of primer? It's unvapable though.
I've got 2 more here to try - hopefully I'll have a bit more luck with them.
In terms of suggestions - I would prefer a version that was the same width as an Ego battery and therefore holds more juice. The length is good though. Ideally it would have the collar so no cone was necessary.
Edit: Just tried a third one and it's even worse. From the first drag it had a horrible burnt/plastic taste, different again from the other two. I let it sit for about 10 minutes after filling - that should be long enough? I'm starting to think it's me, but I can't see how I could do anything differently - it's pretty simple! One more to try.......
Edit: Just tried the 4th one - it's better but there's still a hint of weirdness about the flavour. I had previously been using an Echo - I just loaded a fresh one of those with the same juice and although the choc/strawberry flavour is muted a little, there's no hint of nastiness. I think I'll be sticking to Echos for now. I have also been using a Vision 1 at home and apart from juice coming up into the mouthpiece area, the flavour and performance of it has been very good.

With the vision and the turbine my sapphires are diffidently getting the back burner on vaping.
love the flavor, still use before bed but would love a bigger tank hold.. I'm uber lazy when it comes to filling.
