Scouring Pads???

Ok so first off let me state I have tried the PTB mod, the straw mod, etc.. Has anyone esle out there tried a scouring pad? The one i use is from work so there is no brand name, its just your basic green, no chemical scouring pad. Let me say it works great!!!! I have tried this in a Blu atty and a 510 atty and I cannot get similiar results with any other mods. It really cost effective too, one pad would last basically 100 mods which is one of my problems with the PTB.
All I did was cut out a peice that seemed like it would fit and stuff it in. No straws, no frills, nothing fancy. I seems like the scouring pad works well because its not absorbant at all, so it transfers the liquid with no promblems. It works so well on my blu that I no longer need to dip the atty which is great for convience and is basically the only other way to get a good hit from the blu. Also I have not noticed any problems yet with leaking.
Let me know if there is someone out there that already tried this. If not try it, and give me your thoughts?

could you perhaps post a couple of good clear pictures of the scouring pad so we can see the density etc?

Thanks

This is not my picture but its the same as what we get from the supplier of the company i work for.

You can find it on google, just type in heavy duty green scouring pad.

Tried to figure out what material that would be. Only thing I could find was "Synthetic Fiber", or possible a nylon material. I would think it would be somewhat safe because it is used for cleaning food items. But when you heat it who know? I will check more on that and possible the manufacturing process to get more info.

They are Scothbrite pads. I think 3M make them.

Kristin is using the green pad on top of the "spring mod" and she is getting excellent results.... just FYI.
LOL! I just saw this thread, too, Scott! Yep, I'm using a piece of the Scotch Brite pad as a "plug" on top of a straw. (You can use one drinking straw or two coffee straws.) I searched online and the 3M site says they are made of nylon fibers.

WARNING!!! I need to comment that I am NOT using the green pads anymore! I did further research and they have metal abraisives embedded in them!! (Thankfully, I only used them a couple of times.)

I found Scotch Brite NON-SCRATCH BLUE pads, which don't list that they have the metal abrasives!! They do work awesome with the RSP mod: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/46916-reservoir-straw-plug-mod-rsp-mod.html
I tried it once and won't do it again. It just doesn't feel safe when you handle it. But they claim on their web site it's made of agave fiber...
